Fingers crossed some of them make it to the Astros’ next pick.

It's not like you need to be an elite defensive player to play left at Daikin. There is also a chance that Yordan is Yorgone in a few seasons.

Of course the ****ing Dodgers take Lowrance, guaranteeing that he'll be a star.

Reminds me of Red Sox taking Benintendi. If he can hit, it won't matter that's he's pretty defensively limited.

nobody knew Tucker was going to fall off of a cliff.

I consider Parades/Tucker to be a wash. As of right now Cam's a Mendoza level hitter that hasn't improved. He's a great defender though. Wiseiski has potential to make that trade a successful trade.

I would love if Hughes turned out to be a young Benintendi.

Tucker doesn't even play for the cubs anymore

That trade is a slam dunk win . All of the upside is still with us . Tucker would be gone regardless.

The only better moves are alternative trades . But given we are trying to contend and rebuild the farm at the same time , I think it was a great deal .

He wasn't some extreme reach. I'm surprised how many people here are unhappy with the pick.

They took who they took in round one because they wanted him and knew he would not last until their second pick. Several teams wanted him.

Haven’t heard anything about the pitcher the Astros took with their second pick - but he was projected to go late 20’s-30’s.

That is disappointing. Hughes is a decent high floor bat but to pick him at 17 and give him slot bonus would be a bad value imho.

    Great deal for contending.

    Not so great with rebuilding.

Of course we probably view Cam very differently.

I'll stop replying to posts directed to me in this thread. So far this draft has just been OK. I do like the Hughes pick. Dude can hit.
