Once in a while, you just stop and shake your head. Such a dumb war. Billions down the drain, money we could've used anywhere else. Even if you don't care about investing in the poor, that money could have built our future: research, infrastructure, real progress. But no. Someone had to burn billions on a vanity war, just to distract from his own failures and line the pockets of oil producers, the backbone of his political financial support.

Meanwhile, China keeps investing, keeps building, laying the groundwork for the next tech revolution. And we'll be left in the dust, dragging old coal plants back online to foul our water and our air, while China marches forward with clean, modern technology that actually moves its people ahead.

 

Yup. I feel this way about all wars, including this war and Ukraine.

I do not support or condone anything Putin has said or does. Im not a simple bot who needs to repeat the obvious. Ukraine is not a formal “treaty” ally but has been a strategic partner (informal ally). Same with many other countries that we are friends with like Taiwan. And for that reason, we support but not directly engage.

If these agreements aren't worth the paper they are written on, then Ukraine could build a nuke within a year. They have the resources, material and know-how. They had the third largest stockpile in the world when they gave them up.
