Am I reading this right that these are “play caller tendencies” aggregated over 19 years? If so, doesn’t that mix sample sizes, different teams, rosters, and eras under one coach or OC? If that’s the case, does it really show tendencies, or more of a blended average?

Here is a valid question: why do you keep hiring "buddies" who have no OC experience when you have a generaational defense and a window open to win it all? Just think about how ill-advised that is. The smart move is to bring in an experienced OC to maximize a so so offense. Caley seems like a nice guy, talks in word salads that make no sense which raises serious doubts about whether he actually knows what he is doing.

I'm hoping after CJ gets Caley fired, That they hire a Frank Reich type OC so excuses like this can be put to bed. There's nothing wrong with how Caley calls a game.

You are one of my favorite posters, but I repectively disagree. He is very predictable. If I correctly call his next play what do you think defensive coordinators do? He rarely if ever calls a draw play or a screen pass. Both would help CJ stay alive. Have you listened to his interviews: word salads deluxe. Seems like a very nice guy, but I think he is over his head. Hopefully, one year of experience will help.

How many of us just watching at home were able to predict exactly where the Texans were about to go on a given play?

That being said, I think it's because Caley didn't have the personnel he needed to run the offense he wanted - especially blocking & running game.

I hope those issues were resolved this off-season. But I would like another vet back after what happened last season.

Screens, they ran screens last year. They weren't very good at running them.

Posters say that Kubiak s offense is predictable. All coaches use word salad

Strategic blunder to move from Slowik to a rookie OC. Especially with this defense.

I bet you didn't say this after CJ's rookie yr.

What got Slowik fired is he didn't want to give control of the offense over to CJ. After seeing last yrs results I can certainly understand why Slowik refused to budge on this.

Slowik was a "first-time" OC as well. They keep hiring their buddies. BIG mistake!
