I agree. Bro would play this way each year for that check as long as he can.

Yeah, he's super slow, if you look at his lane agility test and his 3/4 court sprint times, they are about what you'd expect from a center....they make Nix's times look good.

That's why I don't think he'll be able to do it against NBA talent. I think he needs to drop some weight and get quicker to have a chance to make it.

lol you can’t be serious. He’s scored as many points as any top pick on better efficiency, only has one turnover, and is +17.

    This board is ridiculous.

Thornton didn't look that bad, like some people are saying. Im impressed with Copeland he has all the other intangibles. Look at him talking with Crawford trying to encourage him. He rebounds, he plays defense, passes, and has a good basketball iq. He may break through.

Copeland walks around out there like a psychopath stalker. I kinda like it. Dude seems intense.

I’m really worried another team is gonna recognize that Nix is a lotto talent and sign him off our summer league squad.

Thornton sneaking in 27 pts tonight. Impressive. Sure as hell didn't seem like that many.

Summerleague stats mostly irrelevant but I did say when we drafted him I think he finds minutes next year.

    Just a steady player

Box score says he had 9 personal fouls. Is that true?

Im literally watching the game right now from the first quarter and around the 8 min mark he was pestered at half court, almost lost the ball... Picked up his dribble, through a slightly off pass that ended up being a turnover.

Maybe the stat keepers didnt credit it correctly. But he for sure had at least one turnover.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills with some of y’all’s absurd takes.

Peterson: 24 points on 18 shots, 8 turnovers. “A future star!”

Thornton: 27 points in 18 shots, one turnover. “This guy will be out of the league soon.”

What he showed in the game was what he was known for in college - gets to the hoop methodically and gets his shot off against taller guys (for the most part). He did miss a couple of "gimme" push-shots in the paint which he shot in college. Still waiting to see him play in the pre-season and maybe the regular season (which may not happen... lol) with regards to his passing and assists, but he didn't look too bad in this game in that regard.

None of this means anything to me until he plays against real talent. In this game, though, he was alright. Nothing screamed "he ain't no NBA player" to me.

He definitely looked slow even in highlights.

His best attributes were he was a good shooter, pretty good handle, and he used his body well.

But he doesnt play with any sort of burst.

His wingspan also allows hin to play a bit bigger than he is.

I still like him though. I just am not sure hes a contributor this year.
