Got fired for.... cheating on a girlfriend with someone who is not associated with the team, is not in a relationship with anybody associated with the team? So weird.
He was cheating on his gf with a current Spurs players sister. Like if Ryan Hollins was cheating on his wife/gf with Jae’Sean Tate’s sister I have no idea if Tate has a sister or not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah I don't see a problem with that to the point of losing your career. Not married, sister is her own person, isn't a partner of a team member. it's not cool but
Ouch! She really char-broiled that guy. He had a lifelong dream of a broadcasting career ahead of him. What an idiot! At least he has "multi" years of paychecks from the Spurs to soften the blow.
The Spurs have really tightened up on policy and perception following the Josh Primo fiasco that they drastically bungled. I don't think this misstep would have cost him his job in and of itself had he kept it unaddressed. I do think that once he validated it by responding through social media - admitting his actions - it sealed the fate. He'll get another chance somewhere down the road, but it'll take years and he'll have to start at the bottom. Best of luck to him. Working alongside the insufferable Sean Elliott and performing well as pbp does require some degree of talent imo.
