I really haven't watched his game too much. I thought he was improving toward a future all-star. If not, hard pass.

He's worth a lot more than that.

A guy like Ausar or Duren + filler and a couple of #1's.

Right, and if the Lakers S&T us LeBron, or if the Cavs S&T us Harden, they could get like Amen or Sengun and a few first

You are wayyyyyyy overestimating his value. He want bring back a good player and 2 #1’s. He is 38. He is worth about what we gave up for him if not less. Best bet is expiring contracts and 1 frp.

What is KD's value if adding him brings DET a Championship? DET won 60 and was 1st in the East. The East has gotten better this offseason and they know they've got to make a bigger move than Isaiah Joe if they want to compete for a championship. If they believe he's the missing piece, what would they give to get there?

We on CF tend to undervalue our guys because we focus on their flaws or limitations. KD had a great season last year and is still playing at a very high level, he's got value, it's whether someone will give us his worth or if Stone/Ime believe keeping him is our best chance at winning. I think most of us are convinced we're not ready to compete for a championship with or without KD, so a trade for equal value is our best way forward.

My suggestion is to trade KD plus an FRP or two for Franz Wagner.

Franz can drive, pass, and shoot, and he fits with the timeline of our core. He would serve as the engine to drive our offense as FVV likely won't be back to full health and nobody else really has the combination of skills to really drive our offense consistently. He's also tall and plays good defense on a team that's prided themselves on that end for the last several years. His 3-point ball wavers and a lot of his passes assists are lobs, but I think both can be attributed to the Magic being a way worse 3pt team than even us. Not having good spacing from shooting makes it harder for him to get clean shots and limits where he can make passes to.

It could make sense for the Magic because Paolo and Franz don't seem to fit well together on the court and they may choose to push all their chips behind their former #1 overall pick. Their team's offense is severely clogged, and they may be convinced that KD brings them the offense they need to succeed. The picks don't hurt either as they need to replenish after making the Bane trade. Unfortunately, they just brought in a new coach, so they'll likely hold off to see if they can make it work. However, if their offense is still not in sync, I wouldn't mind looking at this option at the trade deadline.

We will probably never know was his true trade value is, because Stone will wait until he is worthless. Detroit’s picks are sh*t, if we even get a couple. I’d still do the deal for expirings and their picks, just to get him off the team. KD is a cancer and his 26 points can be replaced with the right mix of talent. My opinion that without Kd and another off-ball scoring option, Amen will up his average to about 22 points. If Stone hadn’t had his thumb up his butt, we could’ve had NAW or Ayo. Subtract Kd and replace with Trey III, KD’s entire worth is replaced and then some.

Durant and a 1st for Markannen. Crazy to think you would have to add a first to any deal sending Durant out but given his age I think that is what would be required.

You have to route Ausar someplace else. A team with Smart, Amen, Ausar and Sengun is a 70PPG team.
