someone said "I think it was pretty honorable of Balogun to respect the original red card call and not show up at this game. ..."
Canada at least had a good first half. They absolutely outplayed Morocco in the first half but Canada doesn't have a striker worth a damn so they couldn't finish anything. Also Canada was missing their best players (Davies, Kone and Flores). Davies alone is better than every player on the USMNT. And frankly, Canada wasn't good to begin with. Everyone here was happy to get as far as they did (especially with all of the injuries) There's no comparison, the US was the biggest flop in the round of 16.
Lots of reasons, probably. Guys who can play for El Tri can make a lot in endorsements. Here we see their faces once every four years.
Fair enough but we had the added problem of Munich going out of their way to control the whole process (for understandable reasons). Also one other thing to note is that unlike the US and Mexico, Canada didn't actually get a home field advantage in the round of 16. Canada definitely sucked in the second half of their game but the point still stands that the US had the biggest flop. They looked awful from end to end despite having their full lineup.
lmao so Infantino killed the little reputation he had left for THAT. Funniest part is that Belgium probably won't even see daylight on Friday versus Spain and get a beating themselves. Feel sorry for the one or two good posters here, I know the pain of elimination in the home tourney very well. Rest of the cheaters can **** off and take their "hydration" breaks and 30min half time shows with them. Enjoy the rest of the World Cup, it's the last one you will see in your lifetime on U.S. soil.
Madness! ...and of course VAR takes over I'll be shocked if FIFA doesn't make some serious changes to how VAR is used...as the announcer said, a ticky-tack penalty 100 yards away and 45 seconds from the final play "is not what VAR was intended for"
What bullshit it is for VAR to take that goal away. This is like negating a touchdown because an offensive lineman held a few plays beforehand.
Oh holy **** Argentina flipped some sort of switch and decided to go full-insane-offense about 5 minutes ago...that goal seemed inevitable
