Buttigieg: Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that there have to be nine Supreme Court justices. That one doesn't even take a constitutional amendment. It just takes a readiness to set up a court that fits this country.

We could have 13 seats matching the district structure of the federal judiciary, but also a process that makes it less partisan. We cannot have partisan warfare every time there's an opening on the court

    well damn

Are Democrats finally growing some balls? Tell me more Pete, tell me more

I’m also with this reply to the 1st tweet

This is the most corrupt Supreme Court in recent history. We don’t just need to expand the Court or add term limits, Congress needs to pass a law: any Justice who takes even a single dollar in gifts from lobbyists or special interests should be fired immediately.

This is why: Clarence Thomas secretly received luxury vacations, education expenses, and home purchases from billionaire Harlan Crow for years.

Samuel Alito took undisclosed luxury travel from Federalist Society exec Leonard Leo, who matched judges with billionaires. This two alone have caused so much damage to our nation.

Citizens United is the reason we have all these corrupt politicians in the House and Senate and most corrupt admin in the office. They already get a massive salary and lifetime benefits. No more excuses. If you don't like it, resign or don't accept the nomination. Period.

Platner is expecting a public relations nightmare. What a horrible candidate.

CREDIBLE ACCUSATION: PLATNER RAPED A WOMAN

Exclusive: Woman who dated Graham Platner says he sexually assaulted her

    https://www.politico.com/news/2026/07/06/graham-platner-sexual-assault-allegation-00987737

A woman who dated Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner says he forced her to have sex with him nearly five years ago despite her repeated objections, an allegation Platner denies.

The woman, a 41-year-old Maine resident named Jenny Racicot, detailed the alleged incident to POLITICO in three interviews over the past two weeks. POLITICO also spoke with a man Racicot dated and confided in the years after the alleged incident, and reviewed documents, including emails between Racicot and her therapist and messages between Racicot and an acquaintance whom she warned against getting involved with Platner years before he ran for office.

Racicot said she had an on-and-off relationship with Platner, who is now the Democratic Senate nominee in Maine, for more than two years before he entered her rural Maine home uninvited one night in late 2021, deeply intoxicated, and forced himself on her while she repeatedly told him to stop. She said she cut off contact with him after telling him the encounter was not consensual.

“I remember him grabbing my pelvis and being really forceful of me,” she said. “I remember the specific moment where I thought to myself, like, ‘This is no longer my choice.’”

Racicot told POLITICO she connected with Platner on the dating app Bumble in 2019 and had consensual relations with him prior to the night he allegedly assaulted her.

That night in late 2021, she said she had exchanged text messages with him and told him not to come over, saying she wasn’t in the mood for company. Later that evening, she said she realized when she heard a sound on the stairs that he had let himself into her house, which was unlocked.

Platner came up the stairs, Racicot said, to where she was on a couch. He got on top of her and kept grabbing her, she said, while she repeatedly told him to stop and that she wasn’t interested. Racicot said she smelled alcohol on his breath and believed he was “almost blackout drunk” because Platner ignored her protests and continued to grab her after knocking over an antique sewing kit, spilling small needles everywhere.

    @DaDakota

my main concern with him is there was no telling what else could be out there

he has 7 days to drop out, and he should if the Dems still want to win this seat

republicans have destroyed this country so thoroughly, maybe *insert generic Dem* can still beat Collins

This is not the Republican Party, he should drop out now. Either way I think they just handed Maine to the republicans.

Rep. Ro Khanna and Sen. Ruben Gallegorescinded their support of Graham Platner on Monday, with Khanna additionally calling for the Democratic nominee to drop out of the Maine Senate race.

Democrats can still replace Platner on the ballot, but only if he chooses to drop out before the July 13 deadline outlined in Maine law. If he were to drop out, the state Democratic Party would have to choose his replacement by July 27.

A well-placed Senate source told the Washington Reporter that Graham Platner — the Democrats’ scandal-plagued nominee running to oust Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine) — is poised to drop out of the Senate race, giving Democrats time to choose a replacement before a critical deadline that is fast approaching.

The Reporter was the first outlet to confirm Platner’s plans, and reported them hours before the latest scandal dropped; “a well-placed source told us that Graham Platner is dropping out of the Maine Senate race this week,” the Reporter tweeted.

This is why its extremely important to get your notarized signed consent form before dating a liberal woman.

Believe it or not a woman has the right to say no. Being drunk and having PTSD doesn’t give you a free pass.

@DaDakota strikes again. His ability to jinx goes beyond basketball and into politics now.

I know there’s a lot of frustration with the Democrat establishment, but Maine liberals/leftists should never have thrown their support behind someone with no political experience/history without vetting him like he was applying to manage Area 51. Maine is probably a loss and we will get another 6 years of Collins being concerned every time Trump pisses on the Constitution and democracy.

If Plantar did rape someone then he needs to go to jail, not just drop out of a race. My question is the timing of all of this...

    Why Now???
    Why wait 5 years???
Why wait until the man is running for a public office??
Why wait until the race gets close???

Something about this is not right?? I mean the sad part is, someone can state something that is not true and ruin someone forever...
Im not stating that he did or didn't do it.. Just the timing of everything and if he did he needs to pay for the crime.

Uhhh "what else"? This is about as big of an "else" as their is short of murder, which may still be in the wings with this clown.

I don't live in Maine and haven't been there. Seems like a nice place. But, wow did their voters (and a certain poster in this thread) overlook a ton of red flags to support this guy. The Maine state party should be ashamed that the only other candidate they could find was nearly 80 years old. A bunch of terminally online people latched onto a working class LARPer who tried to tell you he was a bad guy every step of the way.
