He isn’t a superstar. He’s a solid player with a fair amount of experience and on a relatively easier contract to acquire. He can serve the Rockets for a longer time than KD. The Rockets do need another 1st round pick along with him.
Take every hyperbole thrown at Sengun about his playoff performance and pretend that it’s true. Even under that scenario, Duren was worse. He’s a **** defender with no offensive game beyond catching lobs and is even more undersized than Alpi. Alpi is the superior player and it’s not close - no matter what the morons who voted him 3rd team NBA think. For all my distaste for Durant, he’s better than Murphy - at the very least, he carried our offense at times and helped lead us to a winning record. Murphy has played like a role player on one of the most consistently bad NbA teams his entire career. He’s not a floor raiser for this team. My point stands.
Teams that IMO would have interest. 1.Detroit (already known) 2 SA or OKC? Very smart organizations. Would they give up whatever is required to give themselves an increased two-year window.? 3. DC-Hone state. Lots of different ways their roster could go. Golden State, as a backup option if LeBron doesn’t go there.
Portland interesting but sure. I know that he is not been super efficient, but I have a soft spot fir Shadon Sharpe ability to generate offense., Durant for Sharpe/Henderson really allows us to recalibrate with the timing on this roster, but give us a lot of depth.
My thinking is Detroit Minny (what assets do they have left?) GS (I don’t think KD wants to go there) Toronto Boston Cleveland (if they miss out on Lebron) Heat (what assets do they have left?) Orlando
been watching Sharpe here in Portland his entire career. Poor man’s Jalen Green, but definitely on a better contract. if picks are also coming back I get it. I just don’t believe in him. Low bballIQ. His shooting did improve last season though
