I am upset and truly we should direct our animosity to FIFA. The reaction has been very negative towards the USMT but it isn't the players fault. Balogun has handled the situation with grace from the moment it happened. Messi should have gotten a red, Ronaldo should have been suspended, the world cup should never, ever have been held in Qatar. FIFA needs to take a look at itself.

It was a BS red card to begin with. The officiating that entire game was suspect, especially when they added ten minutes of stoppage time, anything to give Bosnia a chance. The officiating for the Paraguay/France game was lopsided as well, Paraguay was beating the s*** out of the French players and did not get carded even once. I don't care HOW the red card was suspended, I only care about fairness being restored. This was the right thing to do. If it means USA gets an unofficial fan-imputed asterisk so be it. I don't enjoy 2017 any less, and it wouldn't be the first World Cup champion with controversy ("Hand of God").
The right thing to do is appeal via proper channel. Not have our president go live on television bragging about how he call fifa for a personal review. Imagine how the other smaller country feels that we can get away with this type of sht simply bc it USA.

Fk no. My issue would apply to any world leader using thier influence to intervene in an international competition. I am not a hypocrite like you, I would say the same thing if biden or Obama interfered with the Olympics or fifa to favor our athletes.
I don't know the rules but it would make sense that any red card that results in a suspension would be reviewed, regardless of who calls whom. As for the 2017 Astros... unpopular opinion around here but I don't recognize it as a real W. You don't cheat, period. It doesn't matter if 'everyone is doing it'.
