Not really. Complaining about CJ's 17 rank in QBR during the regular season with our horrific OL, undermanned WR & TE rooms and ZERO running game is not "reasonable".

CJ and the Texans were a perfect match in year one, but then CJ REGRESSED. That's a management issue, unless CJ was shooting heroin, which I don't believe is the case.

I repeatedly said that CJ sh*t the bed in the playoff.

Talking football with you used to be fun but now it's not possible. Your hatred for CJ and your lust for football glory has blinded and belittled you. You have made it not fun to be here.

For the money CJ's going to want to be paid I doubt Caserio can get a 1st for CJ. I would love to be proven wrong.

This was a seriously bad take. I'm through reading your negative vitriol. You can go on the "ignore" list.

    You’re so full of excuses.
There are others in similar or worse situations that performed much better the past couple seasons.
Nico is a top 10 WR, CJ is responsible for some of the Oline play.

    What?

My lust for football glory? LMAO.

I dont hate CJ he's a fine person, but he's not the guy to bring a championship to Kirby. I'm just trying to make you realize the depths that you're going yo to to defend CJ's crap play. The entire offense didn't suck last yr. They were slightly below avg, around the 18-22 mark and a lot of this had to do with CJ's play.
Instead of telling me why my take is a bad take you put me on ignore. This says a lot about your debating skills.

Now you've resorted to name calling, this is when you know you've lost the debate.

    Here's a summary.

CJ was incredible as a rookie and average during the regular seasons in years 2 and 3. What happened? I'm inclined to believe that CJ didn't get the proper development. Others believe his QB coaching was fine and that it's all on CJ. Maybe they're right. As fans it's hard for us to know.

CJ was record-breaking awful in the 25' playoff.

So where do we go from here?

It seems we're going to play CJ and hope that his mental issues are resolved. If not it looks like we'll go back to Davis and then look for a new QB after the season.

The guys here who eat, drink, and sleep hatred for CJ need to be medicated and reclaim their sanity.

I encourage the sane fans here to try and be cautiously optimistic and enjoy life.

Sane fans equal straight homers to some of you.

In reality, not wanting to pay an extremely average QB with average athleticism and upside top 10 money, just because he’s “next” in line is the sane opinion.

I didn't say anything about paying CJ. I guess I gotta put you on ignore too.

There was reason to be optimistic every year.

2023 We expected Dameon Pierce to continue his rookie success. 939 YDs on 220 Attempts. 4.3 YPC
    .
2024 We got Mixon who was successful when on the field.

2025 We expected Mixon back and added Chubbs.

It didn't work out, but there was a plan and reason for optimism each year.

2026 Perhaps the acquisition of Montgomery to go with the kiddie corp will work this time. There's reason to think it can... AGAIN.

I hope it's a me thing. I'd be very boring if I sounded like everyone else.

IF is broad enough to change any player's trade value. If CJ has another concussion. IF Stingly it injured and out indefinitely. If Tank has lost his twitch. Or any number of other IFs.

But I'm banking on the extended depth (47-60) plus the ROLODEX) to step up. Many of whom will not be protected on PUP or IR.

This post depends entirely on how posters view CJ's play and after seeing his play the eventual outcome of his career. We're on the opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to CJ's on field performance. I dont think he's got it in him to bring a Lombardi to Kirby, obviously you think he can do the job. What leads you to think he can bring a Lombardi to Kirby, because if certainly hasn't been his play over the last 2 yrs that should give you comfort. But the good news is he's supposedly working real hard in his contract yr and this bothers me a lot.
