Yeah sign’n’trade for Duren. We would have to add picks to Dickerson, but it would be worth it. We could try twin towers for a year, if we couldn’t move Sengun for a good return. We would suck offensively, but we already do. Take the hit and then go back to building a team of young, long, and fast by moving off of Sengun and the geriatrics.
I think Trey Murphy has the potential to be an above average PG in this league under the right situation...maybe a poor-man's Maxey. With that said, I don't see any stars available in their 20s available. Maybe Banchero, but Orlando seems to play better without him. As good as Durant was last year, it's a matter of time we start to see a drop in production so my feeling is we should get the most we can this off-season. I'm also in the camp, we should trade Sengun.
I know, right? Jalen Duren, big maybe (but with subsequent moves because we'd have 12 centers). Giving up picks? Jeez, dudes. I mean, fuhreal.
You would have to re-route Duren to another team. Who needs a Center? Hawks? NAW and Kispert w/ picks would be nice. Slide Amen to the 3.
I think you need to trade Sengun in this case. Maybe like a 3 team trade between Detroit/NOP/Houston. Detroit gets: Dickerson / Derik Queen NOP: Sengun / Rockets 1st next year / Rockets 2028 1st Rockets get: Duren / Trey Murphy
I like it, but our 27 pick is in the swap equation with Brooklyn. We could trade the swap, but I wouldn't want to. Just change it to 28, 30 Rocket picks. I'm not crazy about a long-term contract with Duran, but if they would commit to a super athletic, fast, long team plan I think it would work better than the path we are on right now. Need to move on from FVV, Adams, Capella, Smart as soon as it is reasonable. Old and slow ain't winning anything.
I don’t get why people are so infatuated with bringing Ausar here. We need to be adding shooters not more brick layers.
I understand this thinking, agree with it, and hope both twins are shooting a gazillion corner threes this summer.
I like all those pick ups but I like Reed a lot. I think he has tremendous potential to be a top guard in the next couple years. If we can end up with any of those guys for KD while keeping Reed I'd be very happy.
Yeah, Amen and Ausar having redundant strengths would be welcomed. But their redundant weaknesses would make them unplayable together. That would greatly diminish their collective values.
