He'll prank on his new Rockets teammates, coaches and GM for his reality tv show. Everyone will feel uneasy that they're in a hidden camera show.
I want KD to be valuable but I don't know if we can get as much for him as some people think. Like others have said, one big (bad) contract, a young prospect, and a draft pick is probably the best we can hope for. When I see people thinking we will get "future picks" I'm thinking a first and a few seconds? I don't think he's getting us multiple firsts and I hope he would get us a midround 2026 pick but it depends on the team. A good team could trade for KD to push them into contention but then their draft picks won't be very good. I think Stone and Ime love KD because then they don't have to do their jobs, they can just defer. I see KD leaving only if he requests out. I could see him requesting out as he's realized he can't win a championship here. But if that's the case, then he needs to do it QUIETLY so we get a good deal for him. I would trade KD and a 2027 pick or two for a pick in this year's draft but I don't know if that's realistic or not.
Golden State at #11 and Podz/Butler, plus a few 2nd rounders feels realistic. But KD has to want to go there, and that’s the piece that’s hard to forecast. I can’t imagine he wants to go through another season with the Rockets. U could just see how frustrated he was all season. An amicable divorce is better for both sides. I suspect he’d have teams higher on his preferred list than Golden State given that he rejected a trade there less than a yr ago.
draft picks far out into the future. We could also get a third team involved if there’s a younger player that we covet who is available. I’d love a 3-team where KD goes to Detroit, Trey Murphy goes to Houston, and a bunch of draft picks go to NO. But I’m also happy with a couple unprotected 1st round picks from Detroit far out into the future.
Ausar in a deal is a fantastic story, but I’m not sure having the Thompson twins on the same roster would work, based on their current development. There are a handful of guys that could be included to make salaries work: Holland, Lavert, Robinson come to mind. They also inked couple of guys on deals. Maybe the ink isn’t dry. The thing NOT to do is hold out and do nothing because Detroit won’t include enough picks.
If we got Ausar and played him and Amen together at the same time they better hold the other team to zero points because we dang sure will not be scoring any. I do not understand the infatuation with putting the twins together given how bad they are offensively.
I think KD is going to the Nuggets in a three way deal with the Pelicans. Rockets In: Trey Murphy III and Cam Johnson Pelicans In: Peyton Watson (S&T), FVV, #1 from HOU, #1 from DEN, #2 from DEN Denver In: KD and Reed Sheppard Rockets In: Trey Murphy III and Dejounte Murray Pelicans In: Cam Johnson, FVV, #1 from HOU, #1 from DEN, #2 from DEN Denver In: KD and Reed Sheppard
