No I’m a fan of not giving up a bunch of draft picks for Trey III, if you can get almost the same player that shot 44% from 3 last year. Who cares who he played for. It doesn’t matter anyway, Bima Thug set me straight on how the TE idea wouldn’t work for Rui. He is ungettable for us.
Taurean Prince? Backup SF? Need to fill out this bench with more players if we not going after an upgrade from FVV. We know Tari, Fred & Adams are going to miss games
You know, the Wizards have put together a pretty nice little team. They have scoring, defense, size, raw shooting, youth, and vets. If (and it's a huge, almost impossible if) they stay healthy, they are not fun to play.
This graph exaggerates the change by starting a year before the big jump in the salary cap. I asked chatgpt to recreate image going back 3 extra years. I think even with this graph, it is clear that free agent spending has decreased relative to the salary cap over time, but that there was a ramp up before and the 1st year of the 2016 deal. I think teams have gotten better at securing players long-term or trading them. Teams much less likely to lose a player for nothing now. Also, the past two years were expected to have larger cap increases such that teams overspent in prior years expecting to have more cap/apron room to spend the last 2 years.
I'm high on Bey but I think if KD gets traded then he dictates where he wants to go. So to a contender and Nop is not that. Plus, he probably wants to go East as that's much easier than the West for playoffs.
Have you not heard that KD is only warming up for his true goal, the Olympics in 2028.....in LA..... At least he stated that......every effort of contention is probably working towards his endgame. I do not read much into the whole 'Only I get to pick my destination' as he is running out of Destinations.
