Smith/Adams Ausar/Duncan Robinson Eason/Bogdan Reed/FVV Amen/Smart This group goes 50+Wins easy Ausar or Eason can play some center. We can get a stretch 5. Have to trade Sengun to accurate Ausar. 4 elite defenders/Adams and Smith also impactful. 6 out if 10 above average from 3P. Need 1 more player to create for themselves and others while being able to hit the three-pointer.
KD to Pistons Robinson, 2 Pistons 1st, 1 Rockets 1st, 1 Rockets swap to Pelicans Murphy, LeVert to Rockets
Depends on who we bring back in a trade, but with that unknown then I'd say Alpi, Amen, Bari and Reed should all level up scoring wise with more shots and another year of improvements.
If we can get a true stretch 5 that can really shoot 3’s and two other elite shooters, I’d consider having Ausar on the team, but only under those circumstances. Can’t add a complete non-shooter to this team.
Ausar is a no. He shoots worse than any player on our team. Remember all the complaining about no shooters on this team? I'd trade KD for Duren in a second and I'd add a first if needed. If needed, I'd drive from Austin to the Houston airport to welcome Duren. But Detroit would never do that. So it's KD for salaries and two first round draft picks (if Det would do this). That's not bad. Gives our younger players more playing time and more opportunities to score. Get another 3 point shooter in free agency (or from Det) and let's go with that. Gets rid of KD.
If you did that you have to trade for/draft a very strong shooting center and trade away Sengun . You obviously can not play both thompson’s and Sengun at the same time.
A Detroit deal is going to be based around Duncan, Levert, Holland & Picks. Portland would be the most interesting with a swap of Sharpe, Scoot, & Rob for KD & Capela A Dark Horse would be Boston flipping PG with picks & you must take back Hugo in this deal as I assume they get Trey Murphy
Ausar and Amen, should be plan A. Amen came down to earth last year as an offender because of his immense usage and responsibilities. Ausar was amazing and a lot of that has to do with. He focuses more on that. And that is fine. I firmly believe if you put those two on a basketball court together, THE chemistry from them being twins and caring so much about the game will allow us to build a team around them that can make up for the shooting stuff. Yes, in a 10 man rotation seven of the other guys have to be able to shoot. amen Austar Smart Adams(3rd center, plays matchup dependent 11th man) Jabari Reed Eason Thornton Bogdanovic FVV All 6 can shoot. trade Alperen, Capela, and maybe FVV. Add a younger star that does a better job in fitting into the Thompson core.
2 of them will be transcendent. Yes, we will have to worry about putting shooting around them and getting an additional player that can create but the exponential force of twinning will be a thing.
He comes to a team and is already looking to leave. He was talking about the Hornets during the year and now the Pistons. A player like that has zero commitment to the team. I was willing to give him a chance but you can see it on the court. Many times he looked like he didn’t care and wasn’t doing the little things to help win games. If he couldn’t get his shot off then that was it.
Framework of the deal Rockets: Trey Murphy Pistons: KD Pelicans: Duren (S&T) Picks and players to make the salaries work
