We just won the series against a 52 win Rays team without Jeremy Pena and half of our pitching staff. We need to buy during the trade deadline!
Last two games have to suck for all the very vocal “let’s sell” club on this board. They were licking their chops when we were down 7-2 yesterday.
Why would winning a series suck for someone who believes the team should sell? Any Astros win is nice to see. That doesn't change the fact that this is still a mediocre team, that is fortunate to be in a mediocre division and league.

If you truly want them to sell, and therefore obviously are very against them buying, you are inherently rooting against them the next couple weeks. They are 100% going to buy if they keep winning series. Edit: There was one member literally posting sell memes in this thread during the middle of last night’s game. You liked it though so makes sense now.

A) that's a silly statement. B) it's a short term vs long term view my man. For the record, I'm on board with them "selling" for the right package. Pena and Brown are goners. We got something for tucker and nothing (basically) for framber. You cool hoping the QO is still around after the new CBA to MAYBE get a comp pick for those guys or do you want to get something now? This team is mediocre and not going anywhere this season. If you truly believe they're a competitive team that's going to make a long post season run, please share whatever kool-aid you're drinking.
So again, if you think this then why would you want them to win these games? With that logic, you should want them to lose every game until now and the deadline. Do I think they are going to win the WS? Probably not. This team has shown when they get good starting pitching, they typically win. So yes, I think adding a SP2 and a real OF bat gives them a shot in the AL.

I truly think we are 1 starting pitcher and a decent outfield bat that can hit against righties away from being a contender. Obviously we need health also. That pitcher can come via trade or Imai figuring out way to not blow up every few games.
