That's fair - no one should doubt anything about your fandom - like ever.

Nix is very likely to be the best player on the Rockets summer league team.

That should be the expectation going into this. It's how it is when you don't have a first round pick.

Let’s call a truce on this one Bima….been a fan as long as you and understand the Summer League excitement. I watch every minute of every SL game every year (to my wife’s dismay). I truly believe that the Rockets have turned an ugly corner under Fertitta where they are more concerned about money than winning. Seven straight seasons of no (real) trade deadline moves is unacceptable when almost everyone else is trying to put a better product out for their fans. Rockets spit in their fans faces each year with that ridiculous press conference after making no moves after each deadline. They think we’re idiots and buy their spin that no changes are needed. Yet, even OKC and San Antonio keep adding in hopes of a championship. Zero accountability for anyone in this organization including the owner, lawyer, and head coach. Their scouting is led by Wallace….the guy who picked Thabeet. As long as the Rockets ownership cares about winning a championship, I’ll follow with dedication…..just not sure Fertitta cares anymore. No accountability throughout his organization and appears to just want a competitive team who wins 50 games and loses in first round to horde the NBA television rights money and solicit his other franchises that are spread throughout the arena. Keep fighting the fight, but at some point it will wear on you as well.

No worries, man. I get that sometimes we all get frustrated. Just try not to let your frustration with the team boil over into insulting your fellow fans.

Trust me, I'm not wearing rose-colored glasses. I see the mistakes this team makes. But I also understand the reasoning behind WHY they do or don't do most of what they do. (Not ALL of it, for sure.) If there is a logical reason behind a (non-) move, I tend not to kill the team. But I also try to hold them accountable when they make what I feel is a major mistake.

That said, I enjoy all aspects of team-building, big and small. This summer league team - while not packed with much NBA-level talent - still has at least 5 players on it worth watching, even in the small hope they become something in the NBA.

Now @Imanimal and @BimaThug that's the way to settle differences on CF.

Healthy debate and disagreement is ok, it's when posters get too emotional that it gets tiresome.

BTW, I share both your perspectives and I am interested to see if any of our young lads have potential to contribute this season.

    Cheers,

SL will be worth the watch for me to at least see if Thornton has some ability to play make in the nba with a more fast paced game.

I know people love Reed at all costs, but imo the Rockets need to put more young talent in a position to challenge him and his role to hopefully be the future lead guard. It’s just such a huge risk to have so much riding on one guy who has so much going against him with his lack of size and natural instincts to handle the ball.

The part that sucks though is the rockets should have 2 or 3 young perimeter playmakers in summer league instead of only drafting 1 second round pick in the past 2 drafts. That sole prospect only being a 2nd round pick as well.

Bima, I know you've been around a while. Just wanted to know if there was any fire to the JB trade rumors, and what were your thoughts?

Not a clue. Seems like the Rockets were never very interested in Brown. That contract of his is a beast.

The BBS has lost a lot of quality over the years. Bima that’s one of the elements of the BBS that remains unchanged and as insightful as ever.

many people on the forum are just chasing post counts or trying to stay locked into their narrative or their internet personality.

This Imanimal character doesn’t seem to add much. I have always assumed maybe he has an alternate account and I would note that he often seems to phrase things as inside information but that none of that seems to be legitimate.

I am not a huge fan of censorship, but you could remove him along with a few other posters to improve quality.

I will say. Nothing vould be as bad as last year's summer league team. Alot of people I felt were just thrown together at the last second.

I want to see Crawford progress. He seems like a solid end-of-the-bench guy and if he can improve a bit, I think he can fill the Tate role or even Okogie's.
