im very bullish on Murphy. But we are in a tough spot to trade with them because we just sat out back to back drafts. Most fans are clutching those 27’ picks like they are pearls, when in reality that probably aren’t hugely valuable. The problem is we can’t sit out 3 drafts in a row. Also we don’t have a player to trade that could offset the need to give them all three 1st rounders. Tari can’t be traded until January. Sengun, Amen are off the table. I don’t like giving up shooting when we need to be purely additive of shooting, so Reed and Bari tough. Would u do Reed and two 1sts? Or Bari and one 1st?
I would do Reed and two 1sts for sure. Of course that would also mean you would have to add 15m more in filler (Adams would be great). Trey is much more valuable to us standing next to Jabari than replacing Jabari. I’ve probably beat the drum too much, but if we can find the cap to sign Rui, even if we have to sacrifice 1 frp to do it, it would be a much more prudent move then 3 frps for Trey. Trey is probably the better all around player than Rui, but it’s pretty close and Rui is the better 3 pt shooter.
