the closest we've been to winning a championship in the past 25 years was with Harden on this team and people here still disrespect him

That's what happens when your front office fails to acquire a tier 1 option every year.

You have guys like Duren, Fox and Chet absolutely destroyed and vilified after one bad playoff run and yet Harden’s nut gobblers still want him back after he’s failed way worse every year for the past 17 years :eek::eek:

I'll take any healthy point guard over Fred

So you'll rather have Fred on a bum knee over a healthy James Harden if the money matches?

    In a ****ing heartbeat.

Harden will save my soul. Sengun with an actual table setter? Reed getting wide open 3s? Ime swallowing his pride?

A franchise great who needs to return.

Lol you're a hater bro. The Cavs lost to the champions while we cant get out the 1st round with our current roster. Fred not making us better...at least with Harden he'll give us a fighter's chance.
Again, we're talking dollar for dollar I would prefer Harden over Fred...however, I would rather have Kyrie over those two

Yes I would bring him back.

we did the right thing a few years ago bringing in Fred. it helped us fix a broken culture. I would’ve preferred to bring him back last year when we had a chance but there is probably some value in that the young players had extra weight on their shoulders this playoff run and if we were to get him in the scenario, we are probably getting a significant discount.

If we are keeping Durant and trying to win, then, this is the kind of thing that we can probably actually swing. People are not clamoring to come here. I want Thompson to have the system geared around him. And we know James in himself is the system. That is a bit tongue-in-cheek. Harden can be a complementary player to Thompson but then still generate offense for us as needed.

Harden play defense the better he gets to the basket. when there are interior players that he can Mark, it can still be an advantageous matchup. Not all the time, but it will work sometimes.

there is also an element of sentimentality. After everything that happened he is still someone that will go in the Hall of Fame as a rocket and has another year or two left a pretty high-quality play. he fits the roster as long as he wants to play defense to the coaches standards.

I’d give him 2 years, mutual option on the second year for 26 million per if he could be signed and traded for Fred, if for some reason, Cleveland is interested in that. Or the full MLE

we shouldn’t get so caught up in the fact that Sentimentality exist. This is a bit of that but it’s a basketball move.

This is true. The Cavs finally got out of the second and peopel behave like they got swept in the first round.
