This gets us squarely out of the first apron, even after we sign Thornton, right?

I thought the whole point of not moving DFS and second rounders for Ayo or Coby White was that we were saving his contract for a trade where we added a piece? Why couldn't we have have just made this exact offer for Ayo or Coby? What the hell is Stone doing, man? He's GD awful.

Bet Stone sat him down. Hey buddy, pick a team close to your home and we will send you there… no matter the costs.

Dfs ; **** send me to a scrub team so I can score and play.

Why couldn’t we have shopped him around and actually got someone useful like a point guard that we desperately need?

I'm actually shocked they were able to move him into cap space. This is a nice move that opens up flexibility for further moves.

I’m a guarded yes. Only because I wanted us to trade KD into their trade exception for a frp. I guess that’s off the table now. How many second round picks do we have to dump FVV?

Unless something else is brewing, I don’t like this trade. You can aggregate DFS into a larger deal but you can’t aggregate trade exception. Trade exception is nice to have but we all know Stone doesn’t do **** at trade deadlines.

My thought exactly. I'm hoping he's truly cooked, but if he bounces back, we could have traded him at the deadline, or kept him if he truly was playing well. At worst, we could have cut him at the end of the year when his contract was up. It's not like we are going to replace him with another player as is, so why do this? It sounds stupid unless you are going to get another player, or just more money in Fertits pocket.

Why he’s an expiring contract this move makes no sense other than Tillman being cheap again. Luxury tax savings is the only player we ever acquire in the Tillman era.

Wish we had this trade exception a few days ago. Maybe could have worked someone for Jaylen Brown?

Move saves owner a lot of money.

Hope it gets used well in the future.

I mean this is hilarious we give away Cam Whitmore because Ime doesn't know how to coach a strong willed player with talent.

And we give away all the picks from that trade and one more to get rid of a **** contract that we gave last year.

    Stone - lol - I mean...WTF Is he doing?
