What if the contract is structured like this?
    • Year 1 (2026-27): \(\$18.5\) million
    • Year 2 (2027-28): \(\$17.02\) million
    • Year 3 (2028-29): \(\$15.66\) million
    • Year 4 (2029-30): \(\$14.41\) million
    • Year 5 (2030-31): \(\$13.25\) million

21.8% from three post all star break. Bottom line is this guy is not a good half-court player, low IQ on defense and injury prone.

Ok so what was he pre all star break? I mean why are you even splitting shots up like it means something?

Bottom line is his contract is a fantastic low risk high upside deal. Yeah he has low IQ and is injury prone but thats why Stone got him for 16M instead of 25M like Jabari.

At 16M you already priced for injury and bonehead moves. More likely though he will outperform his deal since his games played has steadily increased since his 2nd year.

if you just closed a deal for 88 million dollars eventhough you wanted to negotiate it for a 100 million dollars and you previously only had around 2-5 million.

I seriously doubt your tweet would be “I guess bruh”

James Posey was awesome for the Rockets after trading for him during Yao's rookie year in 2003. Hated to see him walk but happy he won 2 championships with the Heat and Celtics. Let's hope Tari can grow into his role and wear #17 with pride like Mario Elie and PJ Tucker.

Gee, I can't wait to watch a fully checked out Tari because he's slighted he didn't get the original contract figure.

    Now it's fully. Guaranteed.

Dude will be pouting and being a garbage teammate with zero repercussions.

    Yikes.

Interesting how strongly worded the comments here are, I guess that's just how things are these days. I don't like the deal for the Rockets, because he's inconsistent, makes boneheaded plays, and seems like he may be perma-sulking and bitter about the contract. Most of all, five guaranteed years for an injury-prone player seems like a big yikes to me. I like his heart and wish him the best though.

I tend to think this whole era is ****ed anyway though and we just need to rebuild from scratch.

Exactly. I can’t believe CF is up delighted over this

It’s like all they see if a PPG (which even that was bad given his near worst 3pt % in the league 2nd half of the season )

The vast majority of people also have an IQ much higher than Tari Eason.
