lol he didn’t execute the trade. What are you triggered for? The report said it was discussed. Could have been a counter offer by one of those teams. The fact he didn’t do it should show you his discipline. When you look around the league several teams made terrible deals or left with holes in their roster. Miami gave up a bulk of their team and now have no guards that can get to the paint. Boston gave away Brown for nothing.Raptors gave up their future for kawhi. Let’s see what Stone does rest of this summer

    I only trust @Nook and @Burt_Steele

Rockets holding onto Dickerson like he’s 23 years old!

Brett: “Durant would’ve gone to the Detroit Pistons, who still remain a team that is interested in Kevin Durant. He has interest in playing with Cade Cunningham. That is very real. The Celtics were gonna get Alperen Sengun. Jaylen Brown would’ve gone to the Rockets. The Pistons were on board. We don’t know what kind of assets they were gonna be trading out. It would’ve been a bunch of contracts, draft picks going to the Rockets for Kevin Durant; the Rockets would’ve been receiving Jaylen Brown and the Celtics were fine getting Sengun and maybe a draft pick or two. Ultimately, Houston did not want that kind of package. They didn’t want to part ways with both stars.”

“The Pistons expressed interest in Kevin Durant, and the Celtics were open to a deal to trade Brown to Houston if they were to get Alperen Sengun. Houston did not have interest in such a framework, as they have made it known they don't want to trade either of their stars.”

There was nothing in the report that indicates that Stone ever considered this. We have to lesson our emotional responses to Twitter BS

Obviously I think the front office makes a bunch of dumb errors. And I guess my brain tells me that I like Jaylen Brown, but I am OK with the end result here. I still think it’s Boston basically committing suicide, but I’m not torn up that we lost out on him. Some of this analytical data makes it look pretty bad

although I think Stone is terrible at his job, this sounds like something Boston proposed that was quickly rejected by Stone, and that was the end of that

and this reporter (if you want to call him that) is trying to milk it like it’s something that actually had legs
