Scour those rosters and see if there is a SNT that makes sense. I haven’t made it that far yet, but I’m always up to see suggestions.
He was being offered $10M over the MLE and turned it down as a bench player? He got some really bad advice. And paid somebody to give it to him!
im ok with it. if we implode this year we fire sell and do a soft rebuild around the guys u like that we drafted
Dude can't prove he can stay on the court nor can he prove that his shot is consistent. If the guy can find a better offer out there. Good for him! I'm not sweating or caring if he stays or goes. His production can be replaced. I doubt teams are lining up with ipads outside his door to get him.
I’d like to have him back at 3/60 Team option year 2 and player option year 3. If you can get him at 3/45 without options that would work as well.
There is a non-zero chance that Tari got hurt mid season and tried to play through it. His numbers dropped, but at least he logged more games "uninjured".
His horrific shooting slump started right when he began playing B2B games. I don't think that was a coincidence.
This was my concern heading into his RFA.... Teams are going to be hesitant based on injuries.... His play - how he led the league on 3p% - and then fell of a cliff... and teams dont want to tie up capspace only to have the Rox match - while they miss out on other possibilities... My concern is that Tari is going to begrudgingly accept what Stone offers - which will prob b fair but below Taris view of his value - and then he's going to be a mopey malcontent.... like he started last year....
The days of restricted free agents getting offered big money are dead. Tari should’ve taken the deal that was offered last season. Now he’s going to have to accept the QO and be salty all season. GREAT
that’s not a bad deal for either party although I seriously don’t think he’s worth as much as Grimes. Grimes is a much more efficient shooter and hustles us ass off on defense while filling an offguard position that sorely lacking for the Rockets. Tari, on the other hand, it’s a much less efficient shooter, injury prone, can’t fill a starters role. He’s basically a backup to Durant and Smith. Honestly, the Rockets should’ve traded him last season when they had the chance. The Bulls were interested in Tari. A trade for Dosunmu would’ve filled the need for a PG.
