Per Bill Simmons, Giannis was about to sign off on the Celtics trade, but he wanted a 3 year extension at 35% of the cap but Boston was set on 2 years at 30%. Brad Stevens would not budge on the extension and that’s when he approved the trade to Miami.

 

This is what I've been saying the entire time.

The Celts had no intention of giving him that extension and JB responded by becoming even more toxic.

Also, JB's type of toxicity doesn't work in a place like Boston.

It would not be an excellent trade for many teams, but it is a really good trade for the 76ers. They are locked into Embid and Maxey for 3 more years. After getting Edgecomb, they really don’t have any other moves they need to make. They now have a championship roster for 3 years, depending on Embid’s health. Brown’s contract is what kept so many teams from bidding. I’m no capologist, but the Rockets would be flirting with the 2nd Apron when Amen gets his extension. I think that more than anything is why we didn’t get involved. I don’t think he was a good fit for us, but we would be way more competitive with him than the ghost of KD.

 

Here is one where he claims NBA referees were "targeting" him and "clearly had an agenda" against him in the Sixers series. He basically pours gasoline on himself by doing this publicly.

Calling out and flaming SAS multiple times was just dumb. For a high-profile player to shoot gnats and trolls with a bullet is a lack of self-control.
