cod, I’m with you about the Tari lapses (see the last seconds of the Sac-town game as an example), but when u consider is shooting improvement, motor and overall defense, how can we keep him off the court? I’m a Gary Trent guy. It’s disturbing to me that we gave Clint more money than Trent got. I like him as a 2-guard but don’t see him as a fix to our ball handling issues. Still hope we can bring him here.
I'm with you. Gary doesn't need to be the best ball handler or with Dennis' skills, but he's beyond capable of handling the ball with pressure and creating very tough shots. He's close with Ime...allegedly wants out of Mil based on his reduced role. If FVV returns for the playoffs and we manage to have GT with a big who can grab some boards, we'll be in the WCF at least. Sidenote : I am somewhat close with the Clips and watched the game tonight against the Blazers. It still amazes me how James puts up his numbers efficiently and with some of the most underrated passing and facilitating the game has seen. He'll never get his fair credit, so unless the clips extend this 3 game streak, I hope he finds one last home on a contender. He's having a great season and makes his teammates better. What is DFS status to start the season? Did they ever clarify what was restricting him. Slow recovery? Not putting in the work?
They should do it to clear space and sign Rui. He is a really good fit for this team. Very consistent 3Pt shooter and decent defense. Then re-sign Tari or sign'n'trade him. I'd rather they send KD to Charlotte for the trade exception and a pick, but not sure Charlotte wants to play.
There's no way we get under the cap. We already used our taxpayer mid-level to sign Smart. It would need to be a sign and trade.
Trade DFS and Capela for DeRozan. I want to say that he is friendly with Durant and Fred and we do need another player that can score. He gunks up the mid range more but at the end of the day we just need people that can put the ball in the hole.
