I would rather showcase Sengun in 2026 and then sell him to the highest bidder at the deadline or next summer.

The real question is this... when ANT asks out, what will Minny want, an All-Star plus picks? Or salary plus tons of picks?

I view Brown as a bad contract, the way he was viewed last summer, but if Minny likes Brown plus picks, then I'd be ok with getting Brown cheap.

Brown is just a stepping stone IMO.

At most, 1 of those 3 dudes will still be here when/if Ant would ever be in play.

 

Much better shooter than Amen. Much better defender than Sheppard. So, he can be useful.

 

ESPN reported that Boston wants 4 first round picks for JB. Jabrari, DFS, 2026, 2027, 2030, 2031 firsts for JB sounds realistic.

 

2 year deal for the taxpayer midlevel (does not hard cap us) is great value for a solid playoff rotation piece who can start for you in a pinch. I know we need shooting but for large parts of last season, we simply needed a guy who could protect the ball and get everybody organized. Smart does that and offers good, and sometimes excellent, defense at this stage of his career. Not a home run, but this is a solid double.

Now we just need to re-sign Tari for a reasonable price and I’ll be happy.

 

That would be short on Salary matching though?
