Keep digging the hole and embarrassing yourself further if you wish, it has already been definitively shown that you have literally no case.

You can't deny that Smart is a very impactful defensive player, especially from his position. That's why he has an outsized plus/minus.

He's an aging effort defender who is absolutely terrible at everything else, that's why his overall numbers are so terrible.

He played mostly with the Lakers starters and their bench was terrible which helped his on/off numbers, but that just means what they had backing him up was even worse.

    He's basically a poor man's Patrick Beverley

Sounds like exactly the kind of player who could be our next acquisition.

FWIW: Clint, Tari, Adams, and Bogdanović all have the same agent. I've sometimes wondered if some of the mismatching parts on Houston's roster have to do with paying or doing favors to people who don't play basketball.

Is it weird to think we could add another client as depth and then structure a more team-friendly contract for another player?

They are both great with their respective National teams but I feel if you are one dimensional.......at least get paid one dimensionally.

The Jazz/Pistons player retired like 1 year ago.

he always looks good in overseas play

he’s looked washed in the NBA

he’s also a shooter that can’t defend anyone and historically can’t make shots in the playoffs

Rockets full of a bunch of old players, young players that don’t fit together, and guys who shrink in the playoffs

•Dorian Finney-Smith is 33. They signed him coming off major ankle surgery. That was out there. If that’s out there on #NBATwitter, surely NBA front offices knew? They believe in him/his recovery so much, they’re trying to trade him after a year. Gave him a 4-year deal (half guaranteed).

•Clint Capela is 32. Clint looks like he’s wearing James Harden’s fat suit. Watch him run up & down the court, he’s winded. Can’t play more than 12 minutes. After Adams got hurt, he averaged 13 minutes. (Up 2 minutes from the 11 he was averaging before.) Playoffs: Played 11 minutes in game one, 4 minutes in game two, 3 minutes in game three, DNP in games four & five, 2 minutes in game six. Gave him a 3-year guaranteed deal.

Reminder: they hard-capped themselves for the two above players.

I'm good with Bogdan for the minimum. If he can stay healthy, he'll shoot around 40% in less minutes.

It looks like a move will come clearing some of this old bench detritus, along with FVV.

Good shooter… crafty playmaker… consistent injury issues.

    Good depth.
