Ah yes, it is me, the notorious KD Stan. I'd prefer Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and Cedric Coward and that they never did the original trade, but the Rockets are not going to hurt their reputation around the league after doing so much to protect it the entire stone era. Additionally, KD is the best shot maker maybe ever and you are trying to downplay that.

KD is a Top 3 or 4 shotmaker ever and yet if it wasn't for a better shot creator, he would have zero rings. There is a lot more to basketball than simply making difficult shots, which is pretty much the only thing he's good at. Even *that* would be ok if he wasn't some sort of weird, entitled sociopath that gets mad any time the slightest thing doesn't go his way or someone else on the team is getting attention. Rockets are trying to not hurt their reputation? Are you serious? They are one of the more unserious front offices in the league. Not sure what reputation they are trying to salvage at this point. Durant himself sorta solidified that last year by truly turning this team into a certified joke. He did it in Phoenix and again here but sure....let's just pretend like he isn't the problem. Pretty sure a lot more went on behind the scenes that they can't say (not showing up to a playoff game, sitting out with a pretend injury) but I'd be shocked if Stone hasn't been trying to offload him since April. If we're talking about trying to salvage reputations.
Even with Scoot's improvement towards the end of the season I think Reed is the far superior player and prospect. Even with his superior physicality what is he actually better than Reed at? I'm not saying Reed is untouchable, but I don't think Scoot has star potential so would rather not waste the development minutes.
I prefer Darius Garland if I'm in that world. Price tag a little heavy, but manageable. Injuries are a concern, but he solves your pg problem now and going forward.

I’ll take Scoot without Jrue. Jrue will be needed to control Ja. Reed will have to be sent out for Scoot along with DFS or Capela and a 1st imo. I’m a bit reluctant to include Reed, but there seems to be no other choice. I don’t think the Rockets are going to try to acquire Scoot. Marcus Smart is as far as they might go. Tari might be matched, since his trade value is low. Ime and Stone seem to be fixed in their ideas.
