Why do you keep bringing up Herro? He was the centerpiece of the Giannis trade for the Bucks. They're not just going to trade him to Houston.
You know what **** it. I hope they sign Smart, resign Josh and then offer Ben Simmons a contract. Trade KD for some picks and roll out the all time NBA worst offense and see if they crack 75 a game. Smart Amen Smith Adams Easin Sengun Reed Simmons Okogie Tate DFS
Makes me miss watching Silas draw up plays only for the imbecile crew chuck bricks on wide open looks.
Why is the vibe that the Rockets are the only team interested in Smart for more than the BAE or vet min? Seems like a poor use of limited resources if more than either of those.
https://dallashoopsjournal.com/marcus-smart-rockets-free-agency-udoka-reunion/ Apparently the deal is $21M for 3 years per this report. #SMH #FML
An ageing unreliable shooter with poor creation ability. Just what this team was lacking last season. Udoka loves "his" type of players. The team actually being great is a secondary concern.
yeah it sucks that this looks like the big acquisition of the off-season. Running it back next yr with Smart and a still recovering Fred and Steveo doesn’t feel like a winner.
Oh it will be a winner. We will win 50 games and then get pantsed in the first round by a mediocre opponent, rinse and repeat.
Yep. Bros who are tough but not particularly talented.* The same player he was, back in the day. * - To be fair, Khal Drogo isn't a bro. Too bad he's always injured.
Not that it matters since we lost to the dreggs of the league anyways.... But it's being speculated that there wont be as many teams around 50 wins. More likely to see more teams around 30-40 wins because the incentive to tank has been removed. So no more getting fat off of bottom dwellers. More teams should be consistently putting their best foot forth. So not getting better this offseason may hurt more than it did before.
The silver lining is that when we finish with less wins than last year and lose in the first round again, Ime and Stone will be gone.
I don't like adding money to years after Amen's extension kicks in. I don't expect Smart to materially help or hurt the Rockets this coming season. As such, the deal likely isn't worth doing.
