I fully i’m on board with a trade like this and I would probably give up a first round or as well as it has some light protections. we can pretty much quantify the floor as far as what we are going to get with Fred. Leadership and hopefully he will hit the spot up very well. unfortunately, it’s hard to even project if his other skills will hold. I imagine that the ball control will be fine, but he might just become a defensive liability whereas before he was passable. Irving could really bring a lot, and I believe that his floor coming back is pretty high. I wonder how everything was left between him and Durant. I would give up one of the 2027 picks as long as it is outside of the top 15 if we were able to move salary for him.
Try this: The Rockets are committed to potentially $120m in injury risk. Durant FVV Tari (Assume he gets $20m) DFS Adams Capela
Dallas can want it, Kyrie is not going to get you back an unprotected pick swap. Either way, I don't think that Dallas 2029 pick is going to be worth much now that Masaj is running the show, but yeah, Kyrie's value is currently very low and if Dallas is trying to reset with Flagg, I don't see them getting much out of Kyrie.
The salary slot view is often overlooked by many. That said, Amen will likely get a substantial raise that will effectively swallow about $26M in above the the cap salary slot. If FVV plays well, he'll be kept, and salary slots will get absorbed elsewhere. If FVV plays poorly, he is let walk with Amen taking FVV's salary slot. I just don't see the point in trading draft capital to save that salary slot when the Rockets can preserve the above the cap salary slots with other options as young players wipe away some slots.
The Rockets organization knew this guy's injury was way worse than they led on then had the fans thinking he might come back for the playoffs lol diabolical. This Organization ran by Stone head & Tillman son is a train wreck
I know--- and what is weird is that Stone is extremely risk adverse and careful with money. However he ends up giving money to a bunch of older and more injury prone players.
Trade KD to Charlotte into their huge trade exception for a pick or two. They are one of the dumbest orgs in the NBA.
We're screwed for this year with his contract unless some team is trying to get out of a long term commitment with a player
I knew our franchise is over the moment we extended this bum. The nightmare never ends with our search for our next pg
Why is Fred done. He should recover just fine like most players do who tear their ACL. Most ACL tears also cause damage to the meniscus. Look it up. It will be over a year since surgery by training camp.
