That’s why I laugh when people say “end of the bench guy” and “only for the minimum!” Do they know who Udoka is? He will play him like it’s going out of style, and he’s not opting out to take the minimum and to sit at the end of the bench.
This is wild. This 100% means they think they can compete which begs the question why did they just punt the season last year? I feel like they genuinely have no idea what they want to do.
We are getting FVV, Adams, Smart and Thornton. Why overreact? Lets see them play first and if they suck thats when you flip tables. Last year without FVV and just a healthy Adams the Rox started out 15-3. Running it back with everyone will already result in a large improvement.
I firmly believe we went from smallest head in the league in Jalen to largest head in the league in Marcus, in the matter of just 1 year, which is truly something.
We didnt have capspace last year and we lost not just FVV but also Adams and our MLE signing was a huge flop. Even then the Rox still won 52 games and got 4rth seed so I would say they still competed. Why y'all act like they were a lotto team?
I don't worry about him missing games. I worry about him getting a lion's share of the minutes in Udoka's rotation, whatever money he's making.
Great pick-up if true, but ... all they're trying to do is make money. I don't see winning as a part of this. We'll be relevant, we'll make the playoffs, but be just bad enough for a 1st round exit. Next season will be a season to forget. We have to wait for next season to end before we see a move off from this garbage mess.
It’s disappointing that we are adding another non-shooter, but I take solace in the fact that he’s a couple yrs removed from tjat bad knee injury which derailed his career, so he’s probably healthier than he’s been in a while. It’s also nice to have another point of attack defender in the backcourt. But the way our team is built almost requires high-level ahooting in the backcourt. I’m fine if this is a depth signing, hate it if this is our new starting point guard. Last yr felt like a wasted yr. I really hope they don’t waste another season. We need to acquire more assets and kerp building the foundation. Like maybe sign guys that a team will give u 2nd rounders for as opposed to us having to attach 2nd rounders to get rid of
I’m ok with him as a backup if you get rid of FVV. I’m not alright with 3 years guaranteed. Please throw a team option in year 2 and player option year 3 and it would be ok. It’s just another kick the bucket down the road signing.
How stupid is the GM and owner of this team to continue to cater to a failed vision that has lost both post seasons to a team it was favored to win against
