We can use retrospect because I just did?

There was a lot of crowing around the time Durant asked out that the Suns were swirling to immediate lottery prison. There's threads posts etc here

None of that seems to be happening.

Exactly! Bridges is another guy they don't want long term, so trade him now.

In their long, determined slog to indefinite mediocrity, the Suns will win more games and sell more tickets in 25/26. Yay!

It will all make sense next year when Kon becomes “The System”.

too many fans have him pegged as Klay, when he’s closer to breaking out as a playmaker with an elite 3 and mid-range

Hornets are actually building around a player who is potentially better than anyone we drafted while bottoming out. At least at shooting.

If Kon is indeed a generational talent, they are right getting rid of all the headcases and reset the direction.

I feel like Bridges and Brooks will get in each others way on offence.
    Could be friction??
2 guys who [IMO] won't handle that well...

The more details come out, the better it looks for Charlotte. Smart FO there. Actually good for us as it keeps Phoenix mediocre. They are also thinner now. Remember that nos. 4-10 all have the same lottery odds (3 ping pong balls). Play-in teams still get a chance (2 balls if 9/10 seed, loser of 7/8 seeds gets 1 ball). If Devin Booker gets injured or they even suffer a minor drop-off next season--very conceivable IMO--that '27 pick is pretty much golden. I like the '29 pick even more.

Hornets have a ridiculous amount of shooting between White, Miller, Kon, Naz, Allen, and O’Neal

The margin for error is a huge issue. They traded 2 players for 1. They have the resources to add one more rotation player.

My guess is that the Suns pick this coming season will be in the lottery. There is a slim chance they make the playoffs. Whether this season, next, or in 2 years, they will crash.

Charlotte look like the tanking team in that scenario.

Phoenix biggest weakness was their front court and they’re actively addressing it.

Kennard is a good pickup for the Suns. Thought they needed a shooter after trading two for Miles.
