I love how every undersized guard is now the next Jalen Brunson.

I mean he's almost certainly not even going to be a starting-caliber player, but let people dream. Every now and then a star player does pop up out of the late first round or the second round. At this point we're going to need that kind of luck to become real contenders. Might as well dream on it while we still can, before reality comes crashing in.

Again though, if he can just be better than Aaron Holiday I'll be happy with the pick.

You’re right. We don’t have any real star level player prospects so all we have are dreams.

It wasn't too early for Reed. I got to see it on the court, during the season! I just don't believe in short players

He doesn’t need to be a starting level player. He's a second round pick, not a lottery player, and I'll bet he ends up being every bit as good as you could have hoped for from his draft position. Bruce Thornton is a NICE player, and as much as I dislike Stone, he couldn't have done better than what he did with this pick. Will it make them a championship contender? Absolutely not. But Thornton is a winner. There is nothing not to like about having a guy like that on your team.

He will be in Rio Grande - he isn't going to play in Houston at all unless FVV is done.

(Editor's note: FVV is, in fact, done.)

2nd round picks rarely play - but sure, always there are exceptions.
