Agree w most of it, except id want to see what the return is on Reed now vs. what his floor would be in a trade. I think Reed is likely being held back by this coaching staff. I'd like to pay the price to give him another year with better assistant coaches. I feel like we are already selling low on Reed, so waiting a year is not a huge deal.
His entire offseason was recovering from surgery so I'd expect him to return next season shooting much closer to his career average from 3. Which means he'd be a completely different player
No idea what our cap space situation is, but the rockets are high on Dean Wade. If he shakes loose from Cleveland I can see Houston making run at him.
In the Dean Wade discussions they seem to imply that if the Cavs keep Wade, then Keon Ellis will shake loose... I would rather Keon Ellis than Marcus Smart.
This is not our year either so management is going to let this ride or even try to get our tax lowered. We’ll revisit our roster after 27/28. Maybe 26/27 if we unload KD.
Wondering if they might try and trim payroll this season to duck the lux tax line [ie, spend 2nds to ditch DFS + Capela], and then stay below it next season as well to reset repeater. Ie, just be a mid-team that lets KD rack up numbers, put everyone on the trade block and see what shakes out in the next couple of drafts

As far as under-discussed free agents go, I like the idea of trying to pry Sandro Mamukelashvili (dude's name is a mouthful) away from Toronto. Only age 27, a legitimate stretch big for two years running now. Not a good defensive player, but he doesn't lack for effort and he's at least a solid rebounder. Might have to be a sign-and-trade. I would happily send them Clint plus some second round picks if they'd do it.
