I think that's right. I mean issues of affordability play far beyond NYC. But the traction that DSA has found to parlay affordability concerns into liberal solutions isn't something much proven beyond New York yet. Yes, I am.
Bernie ran a good campaign in 2016 and Trump ran with that same focus and won in 2016. Bernie focused on individuals that Democrats forgot about, which are all those individuals in the rust belt and also rural voters. Democrats love focusing on social issues, but if they just focused on money, they would have a better chance of winning. I'm also not talking about wanting to sound like the smartest person in the room (AKA as 2024 elections and talking about how good 401k's were doing as if most of the Country even has much money in those).

States run their own elections, including presidential. And there is a separation of power between states and DC. it might be time to stop listening to all the fear monger about Trump being a dictator. The president doesnt have that much power in the grand scheme. Only dumb americans think otherwise. But that doesnt mean the president cant do unauthorized actions which can he tied up in courts for periods of time.

I don’t think the historical style of debate is even effective it’s just a couple of minutes of a Dem saying something followed by a couple of minutes of a republican lying and making sh*t up…and maybe there will be a fact check later that no one will see they often times don’t even answer the question being asked hell, I’d rather see Jubilee style Talarico vs 20 MAGAs and Paxton vs 20 Dems live on national TV
