Stone hired his own boss as coach? you’d swear Ime is a 5x champion the amount of control he supposedly has Is Ime the Deebo of the organization? So Ime will purposefully screw Stone’s vision if he doesn’t agree with it, and Stone is still here? Tilman had no clue who Ime was… He didn’t know who Silas was either. Stone was the one doing the coaching search and the main one conducting the interviews with help from Patrick Stone said Ime is his pick and Tilman said ok and wrote the check
Both Ime and Stone should’ve been fired for back to back failures in the playoffs, but Rockets are a home free from accountability.
All evidence points to it. If they get Marcus, that pretty much confirms it. Ime is the new Bill O’Brien. I don’t necessarily think Kd was Ime’s idea. i think it was Stone saving face after his brilliant draft pick swap to get Booker backfired on him, but he wouldn’t have made the trade without Ime’s approval. I really don’t mind that GM’s consult their coach about how to build a roster, but, man if that guy is as brain dead about NBA rotations as Ime, it is a bad idea. Both need to go and think if Tito sold the team, they would be.
If he's a replacement for say JaeSean Tate for our bench then I understand trying to fill out our options with better players. Never been a big Smart fan, but he was born in Texas and he brings a toughness, grit, and tenacity that we can definitely use. We need some shooters with length.
Doesn't surprise me at all, Marcus Smart would have never been dumped by the Celtics if Ime hadn't been fired and the Celtics wouldn't have won the championship they did. Ime loves Marcus Smart more than he loves FVV and he loves both of them far more than he loves winning.
If he plays as well for the Rockets as he did against us, it is fine. If you think Reed-only fans were apoplectic about Thornton, wait until we sign Marcus. DD and BTG will have to go on suicide alert.
Since I am banned, can someone put up a poll for who is responsible for the ruination of this franchise? Curious to see if it’s Fertitta, Ime, or Stone who gets picked. One day I think it’s the lawyer, the next day Fertitta, the next day Ime. It’s definitely one of the three, but who?
