    Bring in Herro/Turner/Rollins for Sengun/Capela/DFS.

Resign Herro to a 4 year 150 million extension. Team option after 3rd year.

    Turner/Adams
    Smith/Eason
    Durant/
    Herro/Reed
    Amen/Rollins

It is the rule. If they sign him they cannot aggregate him in a trade for some period of months maybe a year. Not sure about that part. There are other ramifications for participating in a sign-n-trade, but a little too complicated for me to understand fully.

yeh i thought we can s&t him for someone else at the same salary... but we cant combine him with other players to trade for a bigger salary... so like we couldnt s&t him w FVV for Herro... or something like that...

I read that and it doesn’t mention the aggregation part, but I know it to be fact. There are much better write-ups about it, but I got bored after a while. It seemed to me that Houston completing a sign-n-trade with Eason going out will hamstring us in making any other transactions for a year. Somebody like @BimaThug would be better to explain the details.

No I wouldn’t. I think Jabari is a solid 4 and can continue to improve. Him and Amen are the two guys I would hold from trades. Turner would be awesome but we’d just be chasing another stretch 4 after. Turner the kind of guy championship teams add for little, not trade a starter. Swapping Turner for Jabari would neutralize itself and be bad in the long run

No way Herro is worth that. I would love him off the bench though for about $12 mil a season, maybe $15

If you take a player IN via S&T, it hard-caps you at the FIRST apron.

If you send a player OUT via S&T, it (basically) hard-caps you at the SECOND apron.

Bima, who would your realistic top targets be for a rockets trade given where we are as a franchise?

I honestly have no clue. With the dichotomy of this roster, between the vets and young guys, I could see the Rockets going in any number of directions as a franchise. Selfishly, I love watching Kevin Durant on this team. But given how far behind OKC and San Antonio we are, I have trouble seeing what moves are available to catapult this team to legitimate contention.

I too like watching KD on the court, but I hate not recouping assets for him if we aren’t contending. He was visibly frustrated last yr, and it didn’t feel like he was great for the young guys. Not sure that would change this coming season. I personally wish we could find a way to turn him into Trey Murphy (directly or indirectly). A high end shooter who fits our timeline better.

I don’t think he is worth that much but I do think Herro could be a decent SG for us until we figure out our horrendous guard situation and Fred hopefully exiting after this season. We would basically have Herro through his prime years on a 4 year deal.

I also think he could be useful in a S&T next offseason to attach to one of the Nets / PHX picks to move up if needed

yeah I don’t know why people keep saying you can’t AI and Google says you can. He can be packaged with multiple rockets players and even in another SNT with another team

Thanks. Great info. I would say that should effectively kill any decision to do a double sign’n’trade of Tari like some guys on here are advocating. From my understanding even exceeding the 2nd apron for one year is not crippling for young teams that are already deep, especially if they own draft picks from other teams (that aren’t effected by the 2nd apron rules even if you do it twice). That’s why I think SA and OKC are in much better shape, than people realize.
