I don't expect Blanco to look like the Cy Young candidate he was looking like in 24, but expect him to be solid number 4 type. I no longer believe in Javier. He's a swingman to me now.

We got to bring Santa back up. Santos has been shaky for the last month now. I think Joe will stubbornly keep pitching him in high leverage situations like he did Abreu earlier this season.

In the last 20 games, Abreu has only given up a run 4 times and more than one run once. He's actually been pretty good. Not lights out like our championship year, but he's corrected the ship for the most part.

He's technically off the restricted list but I'm not sure if he's back with the team yet.

Every yr they start out slow and posters want to sell. I've always said lets see where they are at the deadline and then make the decision whether to buy or sell. It looks like They're going to be buyers at the deadline.

Did he really say “would it be good enough to make the playoffs” if we ended up with 89 wins? Lmao.

That would be good enough to end up with a bye in the AL.

Yeah 86 wins almost certainly makes the playoffs and we might see an 83 or 84 win team make it the way things sit right now. 89 wins is a guaranteed playoff spot and likely bye.

Javier will forever be in in Astros lore after initiating his World Series No hit pitching performance.

But I think he may be on the outskirts of his career. And no fault to him, because the injury’s he’s dealt with have cause his huge decline. It’s difficult to get back to form after major surgery; some pitcher can do it, others aren’t so lucky.
