Isaiah Joe got nearly played off the court in the playoffs though due to his defense. He didn't even play in game 7 of the Spurs series and only averaged 9mpg in the games he did play. We already have a great shooter who can't play defense (Reed), I don't think we could have afforded to have two of them on the court. Maybe if you're moving Reed in another trade?

Bro was putting up Amen bricks in the playoffs and was getting roasted on defense. Joe would be getting equally roasted on defense but at least he is a deadly shooter.

Wouldn't read too much into a six game sample size, especially from a player as young and inexperienced as Reed.

I’m saying Isaiah Joe would be a better use of 2 SRPs than drafting Thorton is.

if Thorton becomes Jalen Brunson 2.0 the. I’ll admit I’m wrong, but nothing about the Rockets Player development says they will help maximize the potential from a rookie. I actually would argue they find ways to make their young players worse than expected.
