Nah they won’t. That’s too risky. They’ll do nothing and bank on “internal growth” that we all know isn’t coming.

I’m no Stone apologist, in fact I think he should be fired. However, it’s a waste of time to complain when we haven’t even gotten to free agency yet.

No it's not because I have no confidence in him. You know this by clearly saying he should be fired. If you feel it's a waste of time then dt complain. No offense but last year this entire board was trying to convince me kd wasn't a waste of time. I think I can tell what is a waste of time for this team more than most here thanks.

Clearly none of our top picks ended up being a franchise player that will be a top 10 player

Sengun & Amen is the closest and Sengun seems to be regressing or just staying the same AT BEST.
Amen can’t shoot and instead of leaning into his strengths, our genius organization is trying to force him to be a playmaking PG which has caused him to slightly dip in his strengths.

Also, to the point of you scoffing at a Luke Kennard (who ironically helped to beat us in the 1st round), you seem to be dense because you build at team as you get opportunities and see weaknesses & flaws.
Cleary the Rockets need / needed shooting & playmaking
AYO, Coby White, Luke Kennard gave you that at a discount.
Is that one or two moves magically making you the favorites? No
But it fixes issues you needed fixed at a reasonable cost and then you look and wait for other deals.
They made their big swing with KD and literally wasted it because they DIDN’T make the small deals to improve the bench and roster.
They also have poor player development meaning the young core is not taking the steps we expected like how Spurs & OKC players seem to do.

So to @Joe Rocket ’s point either you go all in and get more big name expensive talent or you realize your not good enough and you go back to trying to fix player development and getting other young cheap players.

It’s not that hard to get what we’re saying and understand what people are mad about.
Some of you just choose to be willfully obtuse or I guess yall are actually that dense.

We got bounced in the 1st round 2 seasons in a row and this last season it happened to an inexcusable situation of a team.
Our playoff results are damn near play in level.

We are literally one step away / situation from being a play in team.
Some of you are just being blindly optimistic to how bad of a situation the organization is in.

That’s actually making my point more. lol

instead of finding the calculated risk moves, they are trying to draw our attention to the new jerseys that remind us of our glory days.

I don't see Giannis leading Miami (or us) to the Promised Land, and he's the only superstar moving. Brown isn't worth the price. You could argue Stone swung for the fences with KD, even though I opposed that trade.

Yep! They thought the young core was gonna be polished enough to get them 50 wins and Durant was gonna take them to 60+. Well, now what?

Do you think there is / was a scenario where any of these players could help the Rockets?:

    LaMelo Ball
    Donovan Mitchell
    Jaylen Brown
    Zion Williamson

    To a more desperation situation:
    Kawhi Leonard
    LeBron James
    Ja Morant
    Kyrie Irving
    Klay Thompson
    Dearon Fox
    Anthony Davis
    Joel Embiid
    Myles Turner

I’m m pretty sure I missed a couple of more names or good supporting players that can be traded for
But that’s pretty much where we’re at with an impactful move and some of them are guaranteed to be unavailable now.

If they don’t go for someone in those caliber ranges, I think they are pretty much running it back which sucks

I just saw that Detroit traded 2 SRPs for Isaiah Joe

Where’s all the Bruce Thorton defenders at now to try to do mental gymnastics on how that draft is a better move than getting Isaiah Joe?

That’s the perfect example of we’re talking about.
We’re wasting low risk assets on a fake Temu Jalen Brunson instead of a high caliber proven player we 100% know can help us next season

lol, They are not building around KD. He was brought in to see if he could bridge the gap until our young guns, still a couple of years away from their primes, actually reach their primes. The KD experiment did not work out as intended. You do not build around 38 year old players. You build around young promising players which we happen to have. They need to get rid of KD, a huge roster cancer, ASAP. Let the young guns grow and see what we have when they reach their prime. Some of you guys would trade all of our assets every single year for a fleeting chance to win one trophy rather than building a team to compete for the long haul like the Warriors last decade and now OKC have done.

The fact that youre saying this to a person who didnt want KD is hilarious. IF YOU GET KD YOU PUT PIECES AROUND HIM TO WIN. Stop making up reasons they got KD other than what they said. You fan boys are so funny you laugh at reality and then go in denial mode. What youre saying the Rockets did is not what the Rockets said they did. The Rockets said they are no longer developing they are trying to contend. If youre trying to contend then TRY TO CONTEND. But they arent. OK, then be intersted in moves to help us rebuild. THEY ARENT DOING THAT EITHER. So the frustration is not hard to understand. They are behaving like a team thats already top 4. Its like they think Fred is Haliburton. "Oh if we only had our superstar Fred". This is where the frustration comes from. The fact that you dont get this is on you.

Isaiah Joe got nearly played off the court in the playoffs though due to his defense. He didn't even play in game 7 of the Spurs series and only averaged 9mpg in the games he did play. We already have a great shooter who can't play defense (Reed), I don't think we could have afforded to have two of them on the court. Maybe if you're moving Reed in another trade?
