The Rockets should have been doing everything they could to offload KD, Sengun & Reed to try to get into the top 10 of this deep draft. I agree with essentially redoing the build through the draft approach but they dropped the ball with this draft that was deep.

but even If they are top 5 picks, I keep reiterating what difference will it make with Ime steering this ship. He’s not interesting in developing teenagers. And Ime extension kicks in this season so we’re stuck with in at the helm and that dictates a lot of the direction we go. It’s already been rumored that Stone is a lil irritated by Ime usage of Reed.

I’ve maintained that Castle and even Harper wouldn’t have developed into the players they are if they got drafted by Houston.

 

It was very clear in the Giannis thread that most people didn't want to trade for him, especially after seeing what the actual price ended up being. Doesn't seem like there's a lot of enthusiasm for JB either. So now we're getting upset with the front office for not going after players we don't want? I can't wait to see the "Why aren't we making offers for Kawhi?" thread.

Looks like more people are open to trading KD and Sengun away rather than trading for more win now players.

 

By what measure are you suggesting Ime is a bottom 5 coach? Certainly not by win ratio.

 

This is precisely what the Rockets should do IMO. I have been advocating this over and over. Just take a step back. Keep drafting and developing. Stay young, hungry.

 

Activity does not = trying. Lack of activity does not = not trying. I can "try" to be Lebron James all I want.

I'd argue that the expectations of fans have never been higher since they overperformed 2 seasons ago finish 2nd in the West. Now fans expect better results. The Rockets might have been better off if 2 seasons ago they finished 6th in the west.

That would be a pretty stupid way to judge a coach and a great way for a team with a lot of talent to stay tied to a shitty coach.

The Knicks wouldn't be champions now iffy they judged coaches by win ratio. The warriors likely never win a championship if they thought that way.

If their idea was to see the young ones without a pg and without kd that’s a very bad idea to start with.

 

He lost to a play-in lakers team, not just lost, he had nothing at all. He has no offense at all and as soon as the other team starts planning for the rockets, they can’t score. Lakers are not a defensive team either.

 

I am pleasantly surprised that we are not chasing Brown and Giannis, these guys would blow our assets and leave us worse off in short time.
