Exactly. I have no idea why people are complaining about not landing him.

I'd rather take a chance/gamble on Ja Morant.

I know they really want to get rid of him, so I'd offer:
FVV, DFS for Morant and a future 1st

Get rid of Davison, Holiday, Capela and try to sign a SG and a stretch 5.

FVV is going to retire here, unless he forces a trade. We all just need to accept that.

I don't think Stone and Udoka were joking where they already believed they had a competitive team last year but FVV's injury derailed that, therefore, they are perfectly content running it back because they will have their franchise player FVV back, Adams will be healthy, and DFS will remember how to shoot again and not wear stone shoes this upcoming season.

I don't think the Rockets were being mysterious in any way, so just taper your expectations and go enjoy your summer instead of being here hitting F5.

It's the public statement epidemic. The current media environment makes us believe that everything teams say publicly are a lie either to save face or protect some secret strategy. Maybe sometimes they're just telling the truth.

Stone definitely likes using the media to lie (i.e. teams were offering two FRPs for Eric Gordon), but when he does interviews, I think he is being honest about the state of things. It's probably why I'm just disappointed but am accepting of team we will be running next year.

Yeah unfortunately we've arrived at the point where we're so used to lying that we just assume everything is a lie. Like honestly I wouldn't believe anything Stone says anymore. And at that point what's the point of even making a statement if everyone just assumes it's posturing all of the time.

A reminder that teams like the Wolves are willing to make bets like this because they already have an Alpha. We have zero. I’m fine with a measured reset given the circumstances.
