I'm all for cutting the tie. We don't fund terrorists and we shouldn't support Israel any more either. Their crimes against humanity are disgusting.

The Gaza health ministry has estimated that more than 21,000 Palestinian children were killed during the Gaza war. Around 5,000 of them were under the age of five, and more than 1,000 were under the age of one. About 420 were newborns.

CAIR Says U.N. Report Documenting Israel’s Deliberate Targeting of Children Should Lead to U.S. and Global Sanctions

“Every child killed, maimed, starved, traumatized, or orphaned in Gaza is a devastating reminder of our nation’s failure to uphold the most basic principles of human rights and international law.

'Inhumane': Gaza flotilla activists recount Israeli detention ordeal

The activists said they were taken from the boat and violently herded together at sea onto what some called the "torture prison ship".

We not only support and fund these barbaric crimes upon humanity, but then Bibi urged Trump on to start bombing Iran too. What a costly mistake this has become. We need to stay out of these never ending wars in the Middle East and spend our money fixing what's broke in our own country.

There is a conspiracy theory floating around now that Khamenei Jr has been dead the whole time and the current Iranian government is just being run by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and the IRGC. There is no Ayatollah in charge right now, but they have to pretend he is alive and running in the shadows to maintain any veneer of legitimacy.

This would also rationalize why Trump’s MOU was so generous because he actually is negotiating with a completely different regime.

But conspiracy theory or not, new regime or not, Israel will not rest until Iran in its current form is broken and will continue to compel the US to “finish the job”. An antagonistic Iran existing is an existential threat to Israel, and Israel punches leagues above its weight class for political influence in the United States. It also helps Israel immensely that Iran has been run by anti-American rulers since the revolution. It’s not like current Iran is or will be buddies with the US following this war.

Trump lying his ass off like usual

This conspiracy makes no sense because if he was dead the US would be the first ones to broadcast that rumor to help start an uprising in Iran and cause instability and hope for the people to overthrow the puppet government. There's no way in a million years the US would give a favorable deal if they thought he was dead because the irgc would be the ones in charge.

Mr. Ghalibaf, the US does not only export GMO soybeans, broken promises, and trash talks. We also export wheat lies and play fuelish games (sweet lies, foolish games puns)....

    What a clown show.

If he is blatantly lying about that, then he needs called out by every damn news network on TV and social media, and his ass needs put on warning. Enough is enough. Our congressmen and senators need to do what they were elected to do, and use their powers to remove the President when he blatantly and maliciously lies over and over and over again to deceive Americans or coverup mistakes and illegal acts.

This nutjob was quick to point the blame and arrest folks without evidence for his pool disaster, yet still won't claim responsibility for killing hundreds of school girls in Iran months after it happened.

It doesn't have to make sense. It's a conspiracy theory.

You are a fool if you do. Its no different than fools who get scammed online over and over and over again and still believe the BS artists asking for their bank account number, or asking them to deposit all their money into an anonymous account to receive some fake inheritance. I get some people being fooled once, or even twice. What I will never get is people who don't learn not to trust the same scam artists and liars again and again. The President of the United States should not be allowed to keep lying, deceiving, and manipulating Americans over and over and over again. I also believe that Presidential pardons should not be allowed to free folks who've scammed the government and or the people for hundreds of millions of dollars.

They seem to be pretty well organized throughout this war. Which tells me, dead or not, Ayatollah or not, it's mostly a moot point. The Iranian regime has changed since its leader was killed, and it's most likely for the worse (more extremists are in power).

Who could've guessed a country with a nascent space program and an auto industry would have a government that would survive a decapitation strike on its heads of state?

    decentralized power for survival

Iran has probably been prepared for decades.

I recall them saying something to this effect: "It's the system, not the people in power. You can't take the system down even if you kill most of us."

Wounded soldiers, families accuse Army of downplaying war injuries

In several cases, injured service members said they had been cleared for duty. But that "duty" involves active orders to recuperate from injuries in specialized "soldier recovery units." (A Pentagon spokesperson told CBS News that soldiers in recovery units are not counted as having returned to duty.)

Sergeant First Class Cory Hicks, 37, also suffered severe shrapnel wounds from the blast and underwent multiple emergency surgeries at a Kuwaiti hospital. He said his wife was told by an Army official after the strike that his injuries were "minor."

"They said your husband was injured, he has a minor jaw injury, and he's going to be returned to duty," said Hicks. He told CBS News he "absolutely" believes the Army and the Pentagon have tried to downplay the incident.

    ....

"They told me that my husband's injuries were classified as NSI, and they described that, or they defined that, as 'not seriously injured,'" she recalled. "He was treated and released back to duty. That was a huge relief. I think maybe that was the first time that I took a breath in 24 hours."

But her husband's injuries turned out to be worse than she said the Army led her to believe.

On March 3, Amy Bearman received another phone call, this time from her husband, Rodney, who had just spent the night in a Kuwaiti hospital.

"I could just hear him breathing and then he finally said, 'I'm going to be OK.' I waited a few moments and then asked if he returned to duty. It seemed like forever before he answered me, and then he said, 'I can't go back.'"

Army defends "not seriously injured" designation
Chief Bearman returned to the United States on March 18, still injured and still with pieces of shrapnel throughout his body.

Bearman himself then applied for and was granted a request to be assigned to a soldier recovery unit at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, which was within driving distance from his wife, Amy, and their home in West Virginia.

On March 26, Republican Sen. Shelley Moore Capito wrote to the Army on Bearman's behalf, seeking clarity and answers on what happened to him in Kuwait and why Amy was told her husband was "not seriously injured."

Nearly two months later, on May 13, Major General Michael J. Leeney responded to Capito and Bearman, defending the [not seriously injured] designation but noting "this technical classification is in no way intended to minimize [Chief Warrant Officer] Bearman's contribution and sacrifice."
