They clearly see something in him to move up and grab him.

I have no opinion on him or anyone in the second round.

    Hes ready to play now.
Curious if Sheppard is on the way out.

Don't want to be a hater but it kinda feels like they traded up to 31 just to take the guy they wanted at 39

I don't know if he'll pan out, but not going to lie, I do like seeing us for once picking somebody who I have absolutely no doubt can:

    1) Handle the basketball
    2) Play through contact
    3) Make jump shots

I don't think we've picked a single player this entire rebuild with those three traits combined.

And they probably got intel someone was going to take him.

They probably think he’s got some Brunson in him

I'm reading he plays defense too. I am scratching my head as to why we picked this midget when guys like like Evans, Vesar, Thomas and Saunders were on the board, but I'll give it a wait and see before I **** all over it, because I don't watch college ball and have no idea who this guy is or how good he really is.

just watching highlights, I like that he plays bigger than his size. he's not like sheppard who is shook of any type of contact or paint presence.

at this point I'm seriously thinking that Stone is trying to be as inept as possible so when Patrick gets moved to GM folks are just glad that Stone is gone (with a fat severance package for services rendered...)

We moved up for this guy? Extremely questionable move.

Great pick. He may be short but he knows how to use his body to do fadeaways and hit the mid-range. In addition if you look at his stats, they are off the charts. I think this is a really good pic. I'm still hoping to get the 7 ft guy from Nigeria.

My opinion, he's much better than where the "experts" had him rated. He isn't a superstar, but he will have a career in the league. I like the pick. He's more ready to play right now than most of the guys who were available and he fills a need. For a second round pick I'm honestly not sure what more you'd want.

This is what I thought. A cheaper, chunkier Holiday.

Agreed. Biggest need on the roster. Was one of KOC’s top 2nd round sleepers fwiw.

Ben Pfeifer had Thornton as BPA and had him ranked in the 20s

I respect his opinion a lot

I approve trading up for him. Don’t know a lot about him but I like what I’ve seen in the last 10 min.

    Reed Sheppard is gone.

Because this guy might eat him.
