He will get the guys he was eyeing the whole time. Would have picked them early in the first round but was lucky they fell to the second. They will fit perfectly with the team and complement existing players. This draft makes us stronger, improves both offense and defense, and increases high-level competition across the board.
I think this is about a wrap for this franchise … 2 years in a row no move at the deadline when we had glaring holes … now we watch thunder and spurs going hard in the draft despite making the WCF the distance is growing and it will only get worse with time. wish we could start a petition to fire stone but I think the fertitas are fine just making money not winning and stone is a parasite clinging to mediocrity until he gets fired
What's going with memphis . They clearly value this years second round . I guess if its thought to be a great first round (I keep hearing about how everyone is getting a good player) then it can be a deep draft overall. Maybe there are still lots of players with high upside (and yes ofc risk) still left . That's the only hope for stone . We can get chase buddiger and that other guy everyone liked . Maybe we can find a chandler persons
At this point, I’m just hoping to see the Rockets ad an FA that can come off the bench to score some points… A shooter, someone that could knock 3’s, Since that seems to be one of the biggest weaknesses for the Rockets. I know it’s not popular opinion, but I would actually go after Ja Morant if FVV doesn’t come out playing like himself. FVV should be fully recovered from his ACL injury, but whether he regains his old form is still an unknown. Morant, while needing an attitude adjustment, can bring a level of athleticism to the PG position that only a few players possess. Maybe playing under more disciplined-focused coaching staff is exactly what he needs. And despite his three-point shooting regression, he’s still able to get to the rack or set up other players for open shots, which is exactly what the Rockets need. Not having a true PG last year was a killed the team, especially in the playoffs
My top 3-4 by position (some we would have to trade up) C: Veesaar, Onyeso, Castro, Baba G: Thornton, Quadir Copeland, Richie Saunders, Emauel Sharp
