Its better to wait on a guy too long than trade him early and miss out. Sure you lose out on some value waiting on the guy, but thats better than losing out on a Harden or SGA cuz you traded them too early.

Our no 1 issue is we dont have that 1A option outside KD. Whats the rush on trading these young guys? We have a long window ahead of us we can wait. KD, seems like most of the board wants him gone but at the same time they wanna win now to take advantage of his window. Make it make sense lol

We should really be looking at picking up Turner and/or Herro from Milwaukee.

Lmao. Sengun can't shoot NOR play a lick of defense. Yet the Rockets should build around HIM? The same guy who got outplayed by DeAndre Ayton lol

I guess just because you are willing to “listen to offers”, doesn’t mean anyone wants ur crap players. So disappointed we didn’t get into last nights draft. We’ve hit a dead end as a franchise.

I believe the main goal is to remove the roster cancer, aka Dickerson not Sengun, although if someone offers them something crazy for Alpi they might bite. Moving Durant is essential even if we do not get a great return, it is addition by subtraction just like the Suns did last year. Moving Sengun, by far our best young player, would be a HUGE mistake.

    Agree with most

    Except the last part

Sengun is just bad as a shooter as Amen and probably worse in the playoffs

But his defense doesnt hold a candle to Amen

As for passing, Amen almost same as Alpin but with far less turnovers

Brunson can dribble and score from all three levels.

Sengun and Amen have a long way to go before they come anywhere close to that.

Jalen Brunson has been all NBA 2nd team for the last 3 seasons - in other words, the award given out to the top 10 players in the regular season.

Amen is fast, the rest of the roster is slow.

It’s not Pokémon, stacking all the best cards.
You have to play a basketball game as a team and win. We have over 130 million of the cap spent on good but slow players.

Our only skilled guard play is old and coming off an injury or young, small and scared of offending a different race by playing with any physicality.

They need to shuffle the roster and create a team that can win.

Someone told me that KD didn't win a single playoffs game in the past 1143 days. Lol.

I am totally okay with trading KD.

For Amen its not required but would obviously be amazing. Sengun needs to develop a 3 pointer or he'll be bouncing around the league for a while before going back to Besiktas.

Shooting can be mitigated with Amen's atheleticism but his lack of dribbling is a huge flaw. It limits his ability to get to spots where he can exploit his athletic advantage.

I'm not sure that Amen or Sengun will ever develop into #1 options or even #2 options. Some of that is due to the Front Office's lack of direction. If we are saying Sengun is our best young player, why have we not built around him? Same goes for Amen?

If neither is good enough, why aren't we selling high?

Patrick and Stone need to pick a direction.

in Brunson's 2nd year he wasn't Brunson yet

Brunson didn't have the gift of natural athleticism, lenght, speed, hops. Its all hard work.

I'm not saying everyone is gonna be Brunson but if they work real hard they might reach that level.

Alpi has shown shooting ability however he needs to be much more consistent. Amen has not demonstrated anything as far as shooting goes. Alpi is also a much better passer.

They are only 23 we dont need to pick a direction now. Unless you are a generational talent players take time to develop and reach their prime at around 26-28. Jalen Brunson for example was already an old rookie at age 22 but only became an all star at age 27.

You keep saying lack of direction but I think the FO is just being smart and not making panic decisions. Look at Dallas they were so quick to write off Brunson and then it cost them cuz Kyrie could have easily been Brunson at a cheaper deal while also being much younger. Luka could have had had his running mate for life but Mavs picked a direction way too soon.
