Trump posted this today. A couple million more barrels flowed through there per day during 2022 and 2023, so his all time record post is hogwash as usual.

"19 Millions Barrels of Oil flowed out of the Hormuz Strait yesterday, an all time RECORD. Oil prices are tumbling down, and the World is a much safer place!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

What's tumbled down are his approval ratings since he took office, and not oil prices. LOL

a couple million more flowed through there per day during 2022 and 2023, and just last year the average was 20 million barrels per day

they just lie, and nobody from the press or from the media checks them

all his medical conditions can’t do their job fast enough

Iran stays pretty tight-lipped about what's going on with negotiations while Trump Admin is running to the press with claims every day. Seems like one party is engaged in diplomacy while the other is doing public relations. Just like we couldn't believe a single claim from our own White House about when a ceasefire might finally be agreed upon, we can't believe a single thing they say about a peace deal. It sucks that I think a murderous enemy dictator's word is more trustworthy than our own elected president's.

It's late June now. The deadline will come mid-August. No deal will be done, obviously, and then Trump has to decide what his response is just as midterm campaigning begins in earnest. If he's belligerent, voters probably favor democrats to neuter this crazy and dangerous president. If he's meek, his base's enthusiasm will be muted and his turnout will go down. The only way I see this not being bad for him is if he actually gets an agreement signed in 60 days. But Iran will benefit if the House or Senate flips to Democrats, so he would have to make a deal pretty sweet for Iran for them to bite-- and then Trump has to sell it to Americans as a win.

The only thing that makes sense is that they were high on their own supply after the Maduro raid. They had no plan b after killing Khamenei did't pan out in the same way and the regime didn't collapse. Ever since then he's been flailing. We have 300 pages in this thread and you can see how the party line among the MAGA posters has shifted every step of the way.

The Iranian government was built with a long-term siege mentality. Even if the majority of the country wasn't born during the revolution and doesn't align with the mullahs, they've got a religious imperative to outlast Trump. He gave them more control over the global economy and cash flow than they've had in decades simply by waiting him out. He had no objective in this war, Bibi is backed into a corner by his own religious extremists, and Iran knows what it can get away with via drones while Trump's son-in-law and real estate buddy try to untangle this mess.

Experience and expertise matter. It turns out that being an impulsive idiot, and cheering one on while the world burns, has consequences.

I think absolutely he was high on his own supply. He'd been probably mulling some grand adventure in Iran for awhile, but it was when he had some experience that felt like success to him in Venezuela that his narcissist compulsions were freed from their inhibitions. He thought and said aloud that he can do anything and there is no one to stop him but his own conscience (such as it is). He is an old man with a narcissistic personality disorder facing his own death and trying to somehow grab immortality by doing irreversible things in the world for people to remember him by. He didn't care if plan A didn't work because he thought he would do "the weave" and figure out a win on the fly. He probably still thinks he can. But it won't matter to him if he does good in the world or even advances America's position in the world -- the point is to be the most consequential person in modern history.

Exclusive: Downed US pilot reported seeing Iranian drones swarm in ‘jellyfish’ formation

“Multiple drones interconnected and moving as one with smaller drones below the bigger drones like legs,” one of the sources familiar with the pilot’s witness account told CNN. “Real alien sh*t.”

Another source told CNN the pilot described witnessing a “minefield of drones” in the air.

Since we have an increasingly solid understanding of murmurations in flocking birds, it seems you could program some pretty interesting group dynamics into a drone swarm.

If they were close to getting a nuke then it's a big problem. This is an evil regime. Truthfully we should have done this 47 years ago.

It will take days, weeks to do what I'm talking about. They would have no electricity, oil and all of their bridges, roads, power plants etc would be unusable. There's no way they could build a nuke without electricity. But they could starve to death which would be a fitting way for this war to end

You are so mind numbingly dumb I’m jealous that I haven’t gotten the chance to used the same tactics and messaging to manipulate people like you

this isn’t call of duty or some redneck trailer game. Shower exercises about what you would do just make you sound lame

We have been using standoff munitions this whole time because they still have a credible anti air defense. You grossly underestimate the challenges of war.

“Why would you siege Leningrad when you could just take it over immediately”

The Iran debacle is a clear example of why it's so important to surround yourself with competent people. But he surrounded himself with loyalists above everything else. Just recently, Bill Pulte (yes, the home builder) started his job as acting DNI. He has no experience in intelligence, but he's the guy who came up with the idea to use the fed gov to harass the Federal Reserve governor and chair.

If you put Joe the Plumber in the job of a surgeon, what do you think the outcome for the patient will be? We basically got a bunch of plumbers (nothing against them) as surgeons, and the patient is the USA.

I think it will still be bad, but best of the possible outcomes.

I do know a country without electricity can't function. Iran without Kharg Island is what?

    Iran?
Their oil has been embargoed for a while and they have massive land routes for trade. The Silk Road is a real thing.
