Because we are in a good position. We arent in a GREAT position, but we are in a good position. We won 52 games without a pg and 6th man center. Only in CF would you find people doomposting about 52 win team at worst lol

Just compare us to every other team except SAS and OKC and we are comparable to better.

Surprised on KD. Not so much on Sengun.

Would be so funny if they were packaged together for Jaylen Brown.

For us, but I think GSW wants to keep their pick.

Salaries would work with KD and DFW just for Butler. GSW wouldn’t include Podz.

Don’t get excited. This is just spin to say they tried.

A guy that is gifted selfishly unto himself yet doesn't orchestrate anything for others. Yeah time to give him the boot.

34, always hurt for at least 30 games, and just not moving the needle in the playoffs anymore. I would rather trade a 23 year old 2x all-star for someone else. Here's Kawhi the last 4 seasons while leading the Clippers to non-stop 1st round exits...or just not qualifying.

2021-22: Injured all season long, team did no qualify for the playoffs.
2022-23: Played only two games in the first round (torn meniscus) before being eliminated.
2023-24: Limited to just two games due to knee inflammation in another first-round exit.
2024-25: Best recent year, but still being eliminated in the first round again in a 7 game series against the Nuggets.
2025-26: Lost the play-in to the Warriors. Would not even have gotten to play in the old format as they were 9th seeded.

Here is his number of games played the last 5 seasons
    • 2021-22: Did not play (Injury recovery)
    • 2022-23: 52 games
    • 2023-24: 68 games
    • 2024-25: 50 games
    • 2025-26: 52 games
That's not even counting the fact he is still being investigated by the NBA for circumventing the salary cap. Dude basically just riding out contract after contract at this point in his career, and at 34 you are not getting healthier or more motivated.

Hard pass on Kawhi. I'll give them Durant, but we can trade Sengun for someone else. At least get us Jaylen Brown, that should be the minimum if we're going to trade Sengun.

I wonder what it would take to get Ant and pair him with is role model in Durant.

Stone: " We feel good about our roster."
    ……
Stone: " It's just not our year."

It will be replayed again next season.

The mediocrity treadmill is real. “Good”, depending on how you define, can be one of the worst places to be

IMO - the Godfather ain’t done. As I have been led to understand KD was his fallback goal. Just saying, I could see KD heading to South Beach for Powell/Mitchell/Jovic. Just sayin’…

Rockets are stuck! Not good enough to beat the Spurs or the Thunder and trade pieces are decreasing in value. Of the players that could be available, none would move the needle for the Rockets.

Stone isn't a good GM outside of negotiating team-friendly contracts.

Udoka is a terrible playoff coach who refuses to either develop an offensive system or hire an assistant who can implement one.

Having said that, we either need to build a team around Sengun or trade him, because he only really fits in a system that's built for his strengths, we don't have the roster for it, and he's not good enough to justify making that investment.

In addition to be contract savy, a GM has to have a vision of the team's identity. In sync with the coach sure, but ultimately has to know what he wants. Not afraid to disagree with the coach, -- a healthy push and pull,

52 win teams are mediocre now? It was literally 2nd seed just a year ago Lol

No matter how you slice it the current Stone era is still better than the average year in the Morey era. We dont have a Harden level talent but the team itself is a lot deeper and we are younger with more potential compared to the YaoMac and Harden days. We even have a warchest which we never had after Morey traded for Harden.
