    This just makes no sense at all. They have the #1 pick, they invested very little in Young.

    They'd have been better off losing him for nothing but instead they give him the DeAaron Fox deal - don't get it.

    There's a salary floor - someone will get the money regardless. This way they can still sell tickets.

    Yes this was a good reason to initially get Young since they had expirings - that reason is not going to exist in 2030 when Dybantsa/Peterson is on a max deal, when their other young guys are off their rookie deals, and they're paying what is likely to be the worst contract in the NBA (on a player option!)

    The whole thing is baffling especially after Young's disaster season last year - a Young that can't shoot at an average NBA level goes from All Star to unplayable

    I saw he was entertaining a trade.
    I was of the mind a sign and trade was his best option
    because no one beyond the Wizard was coughing up that money

    *IF* the Wizards had anything of value. . . . I would think they would be interested in KD and Sengun

    I think Young is there to sell a few tickets and maybe have a little bit of a bounce back.

    it seems like they are rather well set up for the future.

    Dumbest FO in the league. We should send KD and DFS to them for AD, and their 27, 29, 31 picks. We can eat AD’s contract for all those draft assets. We aren’t winning sh*t next year anyway.

    At this point Rockets should go all in and trade for AD & Jaylen Brown if they want any legit chance at being a serious contender next season
