Just got home from DFW after going to this match. My first World Cup game in person and it absolutely delivered. The atmosphere was fantastic from both sides. It was a party from hours before until well after. Helped that it was a great match...though I was a little disappointed in Croatia. They're really showing their collective age. Lucky for them the rest of the group isn't good and they got this one out of the way first. I enjoyed that everyone booed the hydration/ad break. I do have to say this, sort of off topic. I can see why the McNair family wants to build the complex and facilities where they do. The area around Jerry World and that other team's stadium(s) is pretty cool and totally not an absolute ghetto like around NRG...an area they can do nothing about while the Astrodome is standing and the Astroworld property can likely never be developed because it's so heavily contaminated. Canadia on a heater. 6-0 over a terrible Qatar team who I honestly thought would be better than this. The red cards certainly don't help but even before the first one, they were getting pummeled. I still don't think Canadia is very good. Going to be interesting tonight. I think South Korea's style and technical abilities will frustrate the crap out of mexico and they could end up playing their usual dirty game. I can see SK getting 3 points here.
Oh wow, you got tickets for the most anticipated group stage game and it even met the high expectations. Don't even want to know what you paid for those tickets, for classification: I paid 65 EUR for Turkey/Portugal and the EUROs two years ago. Atmospheres at those tourneys are unmatched. Happy for you, maybe you get to see another one.
I'm really worried about Pulisic being out. He was the spark on the left side and we lost a lot of our creative intensity without him.
